I liked how it ended; yeah, it was predictable, but it would've been unsatisfying if it ended in something like Dimitri's death. We'd have to see how Rose moves forward, I think it would've been unsettling and and awful way to end it. True, happy endings are cliché, but that's because they happen a lot and there really wasn't another way to end the books without it leaving a bitter taste in the reader's mouth.
I hated how Adrian got the short end of the stick, as he and Christian Ozera were my favorite characters in the series, though the latter got his piece of the fairytale ending he deserved. That's why I loved Bloodlines, because he got a bigger role and I think he and Sydney were just divine together<3
I hated Sydney in the original books and I thought Bloodlines would be awful because I didn't like her character at all, but I went ahead and read it anyways; it might actually be better than the original series. I think she's more interesting than Rose, even if she's not as badass. Sydney's a go-getter, and she has some Rose qualities. She's what Adrian needs, I'm psyched to see where it goes from Bloodlines.
