Have You Ever Almost Died?

I have!
I was at the beach, and I got pulled out by a riptide. I was like, a hundred feet out, and I couldn't stand, and I kept getting shoved under. I couldn't get back and I kept choking...the life guard had to come out.
The weekend after that there were no lifeguards and a girl and her father died in a riptide.
I was terrified.

Wow, must have been scary.

The only time I've almost died was when I almost got hit by a 70 mph car while crossing a busy street.

-sigh- Luckily it stopped in time.

I've almost died.
Quite a lot of times really.

The first was when I was born.
I was a MASSIVE baby, and my mum was really small. I had to be cut out, but they were almost 99% certain I was going to die.

Another time was when I was younger and feel out a second storey window at my grandparents house. I cracked my skull open or something.
And then while I was in hospital, I caught some major infection or something

But meh, I think it was just luck.
And I'm not going to bore you with the rest of the times.

I have, three times, one of them, I don't think counts :file:

One time was the cliche car almost hitting me but friend saving my life

Second time was when my cousin was like, doing this cool knife thing, throwing it around and it comes flying at me and I'm like *duck* :cheese:

And the other one, I was watching a Hannah Montana Marathong on TV :tehe: and I was like, eating a cube of ice and I kind of went down my throat and got stuck there and I couldn't breathe for several seconds till my mom came down and doing some maneuvure :file:

No she does not, don't believe anything he says.

I've never came close to dying literally, but when I was about 7 or 8 I got lost on some cave tour and I was throughly convinced that I was going to die.... for the whole 15 minutes I was lost. :mrgreen:

I had an asthma/panic attack in a mosh pit. Luckily some big dude picked me up and handed me to the security guard.

Big guy who helped me out at the Agora--Thank you lots.

I was reallllllllly sick until I was around 6 or 7, always in the damned hospital. They were convinced I wouldn't live to see 10, and if I did I'd have some mental problem and a speech impediment. Stupid doctors. I'm still alive, and other than my minor ADD, I'm just fine. :mrgreen:

So i say I've had some pretty near death encounters

once when I was 4 I stepped into the big pool, and a lady had to call 911. They had to get a rescue heli in there.....
i don't remember, but my parents do.

When I was four there was this dumb ass lady speeding down my street in her minivan and she hit me. The doctors said it was amazing that I didn't break any bones, and that I lived. Al that I remember was trying to get up in the ambulance and my mom being totally hysterical and pushing me back down. And I remember my mom stealing my pillow in the hospital. And I remember coming home. But that's it. Oh and someone gave me a cat after I got home. Which was strange.

I was almost trampled in a mosh pit on 2 separate occasions. :cheese: Maybe not as serious as some other people, but it scared the shit out of me. :shifty

When I was a little person, I almost drowned too when I was in one of those inflatable rings, and I fell right through it. I think I was about 2 or 3 at the time.

:tehe: I tend to get a lot of minor physical injuries.
Less minor would be not much more close to death - deeper wounds like when my leg got cut up by a bike chain. Or cutting off my toe. Or nearly losing 2, 3 teeth.
But nothing really life threatening.

I wouldn't mind the experience :think:
