Have You Ever Almost Died?

I fell down the stairs this morning and my neck nearly twisted too far in the wrong direction.

I was walking by the school one day, it was raining. I heard a loud, very loud noise.
I saw a flash on the ground by my foot. The crossing guard ran to me asking if I was all right. I said I was fine, but my hair was standing up. I pushed it down and it went back up, it just wouldn't stay down. She said i was struck by lighting, but I wasn't it hit the ground by my foot. A second sooner and I might have died, fate came in to play! So that was my near death experience.
Even sometimes now when there is lighting my hair goes up.
Cool huh!

I had asthma when I was a kid.
And then I had an asthma attack at my friends house and I didn't have a puffer.
It was scary.

Before I was even born I was almost a miscarrige but was saved by a c-section.

When I was about 8 months I had to have surgery and I went into shock and my airway closed up.

When I was 3 I had to have surgery again and I went into shock again but my heart stopped. I was dead for about 20 seconds.

Whan I was 4 I ate what I thought was salt. It wasn't. It was rat poison.

When I was 8 I was at a friends house and I almost ripped my spinal chord by trying to do a handstand while jumping on a trampoline.

From 11-12 I had a mystery cough that wouldn't go away with any medicine that they tried. By the end of it, it was so bad that I could barely eat without coughing it all back up and I coughed the entire time I tried to sleep at night, so I got like no sleep and I lost A LOT of weight. It was apparently allergies/asthma.

From 1-present I have had a mystery pain that feels like someone is jiggling a very sharp knife in my abdomen. It happens like once a year but it is brutal. When it happens I can't even move. They still have no idea what it is and have stopped trying to figure it out.

Well that's all that I'll bore you with...

I almost crashed a mini bike into the side of the house, once
Instead of slowing the thing down, I pulled down the throttle and it just zoomed like mad toward the house
My brother grabbed me in time and pulled me off it, and all I was left with was bruises on my sides from where he caught me, which just shows the speed I was going at

I nearly walked out in front of a speeding van, I wasn't paying attention. my bad.
I was crossing the road when the traffic lights turned red, two seconds later they changed to green. I was half way across the road it scared the shiz out of me.
I nearly fell out of a window when I was younger, I was sitting on the windowsill in my bedroom, didn't realise the window was open, leant back and managed to grab the wall.
I've overdosed but shh and I didn't realise what I could have done until I woke up the next morning and thought about it.
I was on the floor twice at a gig, spose that doesn't count.
erm.. tis all =]

I nearly drowned in the ocean on holiday in France once.
And I nearly choked because my two sisters and brother sat on top of me.
And another time I nearly choked on hot chocolat. No joke.
And I've nearly been run over by cars countless times.

Does it count that I had my umbilical cord around my throat when I was born? Because I nearly died then.

And when I got run over as well, it could have been worse then it was.

Once I almost drown.....and once I was almost hit by a car......but I stopped in enough time so I just wound up smashing into the side of it...It hurt.....

Twice. Once by drowning, once from drugs. Neither was pretty.

Well nothing really near-death has ever happened to me. But when I was at Warped Tour, I almost got kidnapped. (This nice merch guy helped me.) That was pretty dang scary. I also wouldn't mind having a near-death experience though. It would be kind of like something to brag about to all my friends. Oh yeah, this one time, I almost died...

Once I fell into this muck ditch thing when I was like four that was like 8 feet deep. The muck was really thick and it kept sucking me under. My dad had to get me out. I was convinced for years my dad was Superman lol.

They filled in that trench after that happened. =/

I guess I have had 3 near death experiences, one was before I was born; in which my mother had a miscarriage. The next was when I was born, I was a lovely shade of blue with the cord around my neck. The next time I was probably about 4 and I ran on to the road and a van nearly run me over. Luckly the van driver stopped in time.

I was at the beach, and I got pulled out by a riptide. I was like, a hundred feet out, and I couldn't stand, and I kept getting shoved under. I couldn't get back and I kept choking...the life guard had to come out.
The weekend after that there were no lifeguards and a girl and her father died in a riptide.
I was terrified.

Nothing like that has ever happened to me so I guess I'm lucky in that way. I almost get run over all the time though but that's usually because I daydream while I cross the road.
Although my brother tried to suffocate me when I was 4.

Well I did 700kg of heroine. But that was only a few kgs above my normal dosage...

I kid. I nearly got run over, but a friend stopped me.

lmao my near death experience was actually two weeks ago.
I had a ceiling fan and it fell in the middle of the night and missed me by an an inch...that was really freakly! I was terrified the rest of the day.

That would scare me shitless, too.

Sorta kinda.
Two instances. One, I almost got run over by a golf cart. My friend was driving it.
Two, there was a tornado near our school and we had to get into our drill for it. I survived through that! :D
