    Okay.
    Let me say this,
I'm 14 years old, and I've had my period since I was in 5th grade.
    I'm in 8th grade now.
I had my first period in fifth grade, then skipped some.
    I skip alot.
I'm not sexually active, except  masturbation
    Anywho...
It kind of scares me when I skip periods, even though I know I can't get pregnant if I've never had sex...
Masturbation can't stop you from having your period right?
    Or is it just irregular.
I'm not like...an alien or somthing or have some health issue wrong with me..Right?

    No No No :(

Your completely normal during the first few years periods are irregular and take a while to start regulating or they may always be irregular, Don't worry it's completely normal.

^^ Agreed. Like the first year when I started my period it was totally irregular [Thank GOD!] like I'd have it maybe once every three months or something. Heck, I still even skip sometimes now! But it always finds some way to get back to normal. xP

So don't worry about it. Unless you get older [maybe like 18-19] and it's still occuring, I'd go see a doctor.

Always - "Have a happy period." Yeah, when they invent that, call me. xD

Don't worry about that. Like the others said, you are young and it will need some time to get regular.
If you get older and it is still irregular you still can go and see a doc, asking for the pill. that's what I did because everyone whose period is irregular will agree with me how sucky it is and creates a lot of problems.

    Don't be worried.
Lots of people have irregular periods sometimes.
As someone above said, if it continues as you get older, go and see a doctor.
Don't worry, you're not an alien :arms:

Diet = has a big influence.

If you're not having a period every month, it means you're irregular. It's fine but.. you'll have some problems when you get married and have a child. Where did I read that?

    :XD I forgot.

Just, don't worry. You're totally fine. :arms:

Periods tend to be irregular when you first get them, they actually don't start being regular until the female is in her late teens/twenties.

Also some girls have regular periods and others are infrequent and irregular. Everyone's is different.

I used to not have regular periods but now I get them the same time, every month.

And this one girl I know skips her periods a lot. Like I said, everyone is different.

So don't worry about it love.

There's nothing wrong with you (that I know of).

    Masturbation doesn't affect this.

Sometimes periods skip if you happen to be stressed. Maybe you're stressed? If this is the case, masturbation can only HELP you. I've heard masturbation makes you happy. So, get going.

If you're worried, go to a doctor.

    Hope I helped, somewhat?

If it really worries you, ask your mom or something to take you to the gynocologist and get put on birth control pills. They will help regulate your cycle for you.
or if you get really bad cramps, the pill can help with that too.

Right, I know this sounds stupid, but I drank some Relentless [caffeine energy drink] and I have a feeling that it brought on my period two weeks early =/. I'd like it if somebody could tell me that this is not possible, but if it is... I won't be drinking Relentless again.

    Just wanted to know.

I'm pretty sure masturbation has nothing to do with your period. Irregular periods are normal, sometimes mine'll be weeks late or weeks early. It's so frustrationg. :grr:

Yup that's why I am on the pill now. My period was irregular since I got it for the first time.. maaany years ago and last summer I was fed up with it. And now I am even painless during these days.

It could be the fat content in you body messing it all up(if it is low you can stop having them) or stress. I have never missed a period ever and I have had mine since 6th grade. I hate that I get mine so heavy and so many cramps, but it has got to be even more frustrating when you don't know when it will come because you haven't had it in a while. I would rather have mine very consistantly than have to wait for it to come randomly.

I started when I was about 13. I'm now 16. I went on the pill just over a year ago to get rid of my spots. But even though I'm on the pill, now and again I'm still irregular. Like, a few months ago I missed a period and I was like  But yeah, in teenage years it's still a common thing to miss them =)
