I'm not 100% sure if this is right thread but anyway. My period is a bit random and doesn't really have set days to be honest, but as it comes to the end of April and because it hasn't come yet and I do have sex, I'm starting to get a little bit anxious. I haven't got any symptoms or anything so I'm not too worried yet, but I have lost just over two stones this year, so could their be a possibility that this is messing with it? I also had a super stressful start to this month so didn't know whether that could be causing some delay.

If I haven't got it by 1 May I will of course buy a test, but I wasn't sure if theres a chance that it's been messed up a little bit?

^ Do you have any general idea of when your period usually starts, or is it completely random? Mine used to always start between 28-32 days, so a four day window was a pretty wide one, really. If it's similar to that, then I'd wait a couple of days after your maximum time before worrying. Stressing about it now will only put it off more!

There's always a chance it's messed up a little, but I don't think the weight thing should be an issue unless you're over or under weight. I might be wrong, but I had been told that only extremes of weight really effected your period enough to notice, and you lost it over a year, not suddenly, which is also making me lean towards that's not it.

I've lost the 2 stone since January this year, which I'm not sure if that would count as sudden or not but I'm deffinately not underweight so it probably isn't that then! XD Hmm, it is just really random usaully. I know I was around the 15th March so it just seemed a bit later than usaul, but I will give it a while until I start major freaking! Thanks :)

Does anybody else never get their period at night?
Most people wear like a bigger pad/tampon at night, I only wear a light one as a precaution. Literally, don't bleed at all at night Shifty

With that mine use to do that. It's known to happen because your body shut's down on a night so you can sleep, its the same when some people go in the bath or shower, there periods just stop for some reason. Its nothing to worry about.

Mines changed from nothing on a night to bleeding a lot, but I blame that to stress, it calms down through the days though because of how much work I do.

Oh my god, I'd love to not bleed at night. Mine's always pretty heavy/consistant with what it's like in the day. Facepalm So annoying, I have to sleep in certain positions to make sure I don't like, leak or anything.

Do you know how annoying it is to not only have your period once a month, but the majority of the months within the year, have it twice a month? I mostly have like 18 days between stopping my period to starting it again, and if I start right at the beginning of one month, I'll have it again at the end. It's really annoying. Disgust

^ I'm the same way. I rarely bleed at night when I'm on my period. It's odd. XD

Further to my post up there, I still haven't had my period come and I've taken a pregnancy test and it came out negative (thank goodness). I'm not surprised considering I take both the pill and use condoms and have had no pregnancy symptoms, however I have got a second one to take on Monday as that will be a week since the first one as I was advised to. Would you guys reccomend seeing my doctor? I've never completely missed a period before and the weirdest thing I've ever had happen is multiple periods in a month so I know my body can be a bit confusing but....I'm kinda at a loss. Think

Most websites reccomend that it's only abormal when you miss a period three times in a row and then to go to a doctor, but would it matter if I went this month? I just am a bit confused/worried about it considering the only other thing I can pinpoint it on is possibly my diet and exercise regime (which i have stepped up quite a bit recently.)

^ It's perfectly normal to miss a period here and there, it's the just how the body works. SO many things slow/stop a period: stress, weight loss/gain, drugs, alcohol and sudden shock to the body, etc,. Things that stop a period can be totally harmless or serious. If you are worried, there is no harm in going to see your GP about it. The way I see it is that if you wait to see if you get your period next month, you're going to stress your body in the upcoming weeks; worrying about if it'll come, if not, why, what's wrong? etc,. You might then miss a second period because of stressing.

Just go to your GP and explain it. It's probably nothing, most of the time it's harmless. But for your own sake and peace of mind, figure it out sooner rather than later.

I have a group of really good girlfriends at school, and we all seemed to cycle ourselves through the school year. XD One week it was one girl, then half way through that week another one would start. Hilarious stuff, really.

Anyway, you'll always know when we have cramps. The phrase "It's eating me!" comes into play quite often. lmfao

My period was supposed to come in two days. BUT NO, I just had to wake up this morning with my period, didn't I?
I'm pretty chill on my period, it's when I'm not on my period you got to worry about.

Fun fact: On your period, your index finger becomes less susceptible to pain. If you try and poke it with your nail, it hurts less than when you are on your period.

My period is really somewhat random. It's generally around the end or the beginning of the month, but it happens at random. It bothers me to death because I can't ever prepare myself. -_-

Is it a bad thing that I don't have one anymore? I'm not on birth control and I'm certainly not underweight (even if I have lost some pounds) but it's been a few months. Before you ask, no I am not pregnant. I would have to be the Virgin Mary or something if I was because I'm not even sexually active.

I have a question--I just stared spotting with a dark brown discharge, and I'm on birth control and I missed two days with one not-missed day in between, is that why? I did have unprotected sex on Monday, but he pulled out. I guess I'm just asking if this is normal for birth control? (I'm also about a week from when my period's due?)
