I'm pretty sure I just discovered I have scalp psoriasis. I'm supposed to start washing my hair with witch hazel. I usually only washing it ever 3-4 days in the winter 'cause it doesn't get greasy, but I think I'll have to start washing it every other day.

Your hair probably gets greasy really fast because you wash it every day. I'd recommend reducing your washing routine to every other day and eventually every third day etc,. It will help restore natural oils in your hair, and eliminate those artificual oils that make your hair greasy every day.

Might also be really greasy because you condition it every day. I always used to, because it's what my mum does and what she had taught me to do, but one day I decided not to and figured out it wasn't necessary for my hair, and that it just made it greasy. I saw the difference immediately, and now my hair doesn't get greasy for two days, at least. I condition maybe once a week instead.

Maybe you should try it if you never have. Cute
    dru isn't satisfied.:

Apparently I get scalp psoriasis when I'm stressed. Never noticed it myself, but my hairdresser mentioned it. She said it wasn't so bad that I had to do anything about it, just something to look out for. :/

^ If it ever does flare up, you might consider using T-Gel. They do a lot of different brands primarily for scalp issues. Highly reccomend it!

I wash my hair everyday not just because my hair looks like crap if I don't but also because I feel really gross if I don't.

    @ Acid-Candy

That's exactly how I am. XD I wash it every day because I, personally, feel really disgusting if I don't. Plus I love showers.

Sometimes I'll go a day or two, but it's rare. And definitely not during the school year.

I wash my hair every other day. I shampoo, condition it, and once a week I deep condition it.

I guess people will just wash their hair according to their hair type, how quickly it gets greasy etc... Tbh, I wouldn't advise anyone wash it more than every other day as it'll wash the natural oils away. If you feel like you need to wash it, dry shampoo, or deep conditioning it once a week helps.

I just wash it when it gets greasy. Which can mean washing it every other day, or waiting a week. I don't really care as long as I don't smell.

Isa, you wash your hair every day?

I go like... 3 weeks without washing my hair sometimes :cheese:
I might wet it in the shower to rinse out some of the hairspray in it but thats it.
    -shrugs-
I guess I'm lucky and my hair just goes good.
:DD Me too! My friends are like "Gross." but I'm just, as long as it's not greasy.. ;D

I wash my hair every day, because it's so long it's too annoying to put in a shower cap and just ends up falling out, so. xDDD

I shower everyday, and wash my hair every second day.
But if I'm outside all day and I know I've been sweating, I have to wash my hair before I go to sleep.
Even if I just did that morning or something.

You all realise washing your hair too often makes it greasy? If you leave it a few days while it's 'greasy' it makes your hair better

When I don`t have school I wash mine every 3 days or so. It keeps my hair alot healthier than it would be washing it everyday. Sometimes when I have to wash my hair after I just did yesterday I can tell how dry my hair is.

I wash mines every day, just because it's so thin that it gets greasy after about 8 hours. I can have my hair looking really nice in the morning, and by the time I go to bed it's already greasy. I try to use dry shampoo if my hair will look alright, and if I'm not going out, I might leave it. I've tried every shampoo under the sun, and the only one that seems to make a mild difference is the Aussie collection. I just alternate between using the colour shampoo and the volume shampoo so that my hair doesn't get too used to the same shampoo ^^

I used to wash my hair every day, until I noticed the damage; my hair started to become uncontrollably greasy, to the point where dry shampoos didn't work, the colour of my hair began to fade, it became brittle and straw like - I was washing away my hairs nutrient.

These days I'll wash my hair and depending on what I'm doing, Ill wash it again. The most I could go would be three days, because I do start feeling gross at that point. If I'm doing something fancy then I'll wash it as need be, otherwise I'll usually put some dry shampoo in and out it in a messy updo.

Also, a useful hint for all of you hair guru's out there: if find your hair can't be styled well after a wash, leave it alone for a day without washing. Second day hair is the greatest for hairstyles because it's got texture and is more likely to withstand the elements, compared to free washed hair that's got no texture or oil.
