I wash my hair everyday and leave the conditioner in for a couple of minutes. I straighten mine so it gets dry if I don't and I put so much crap in it to get it to do what I want I HAVE to wash it everyday or its greasy and icky. I also haev this obsessive compulsive thing where it has to smell good and be clean.

I don't wash my hair when I go swimming, because the chlorine dries it out and it just gets weird.
I'll just rinse it in the shower so it doesn't smell like chlorine for the rest of the day. :XD

Should I wash it after I go swimming?

You should, to get rid of the chlorine that's drying it out, and condition it to help restore its moisture so it doesn't have that... stringy (I couldn't think of better adjective, sorry XD) feeling.

Thanks, I wasn't sure. I know chlorine dries it out, but sometimes it seems like washing it would only make it worse. ><

On the subject of hair washing, could someone recommend a good shampoo/conditioner?

I have really thick hair, and it gets greasy easily, but if I use like a deep-cleaning shampoo, it totally dries out my scalp.

:cheese: I have so much trouble finding a good, reasonably priced shampoo!

Treseme hurts if it gets in your eyes... :file:
I use sunsilk. They have a huge range and it leaves your hair all smooth :tehe:

Some hurts a lot more than others, and the burning sensation usually goes away with warm water. Treseme does not. It hurts like a bitch.

I wash my hair everyday and condition it every two.
I swap my shampoos around all the time as well. If I don't wash it everyday, I get paranoid that it's greasy :|

Head and Shoulders works, even if you don't have a dandruff problem. :XD
It kicks grease's ass without drying your scalp out. I suggest the kind with aloe. :D

I wash mine every few days.
Sometimes I'll get lazy though and won't wash it until it actually feels greasy.
And I condition whenever I wash.

At the moment I'm using Pantene Pro-V for coloured hair. :tehe:

OMFG, and I've thought I'm the only one whose hair gets greasy after not even 24 hours.

Like now. I showered last night, at about 11 pm, and now it's 8 pm and it's so fucking greasy and i hate it. I wash it with Garnier and it sucks, so did the shampoos that I've used before.

I used to wash my hair with Sunsilk for Silky & Straight hair, and it was sooo fabulous :yah it made my hair shine for about 3 days, but i once finished the bottle, and my mom forgot to buy a new one, so i washed with her Dove and it sucks big time!

Then i tried millions of other products to make my hair fabulous again but it was over omgno: Cry

Now i have to wash it everyday. And i dye it too, so mostly the water in my tub is always blue.

I wash my hair every day, unless I'm sick. Sometimes I use conditioner, but I'm a lazy ass, so I usually don't.

Oh, and Suave hurts like a bitch as well. I used the green apple kind when I was little and it got in my eyes. It took, like, nearly a whole night for the burning to stop, even when I did rinse my eyes out.

But I currently use Suave's coconut shampoo.Though I really shouldn't 'cause they test on animals.

Usually I wash mine once a day, but sometimes I will skip a day because I've read that can actually be good for your hair to not wash it every single day.

    haha, oh my god.
according to this thread, no one would ever wash their hair if it never got greasy.

^ Well grease is basically dirt isn't it? So if it never gets dirty why wash it.

But it's still fun of course.

:lmfao I remember when I first got my hair cut really, really, short [I had really long hair before that point]. I was just putting in the shampoo, and I was all "woah" because it felt so weird... yet very, very cool. Then I started washing my hair as soon as I got home from school because it was so fun.

Of course, now, it's just medium length. Definitely not as cool as it was a year ago.
