:lmfao I remember when I first got my hair cut really, really, short [I had really long hair before that point]. I was just putting in the shampoo, and I was all "woah" because it felt so weird... yet very, very cool. Then I started washing my hair as soon as I got home from school because it was so fun.

Of course, now, it's just medium length. Definitely not as cool as it was a year ago.
Yeah, I cut my hair like . . . ten inches, so in the shower I'm all "Wow :cheese: :con:"

It must be really weird to have short hair and washing must be weirder when getting your fingers in it. I never had my hair cut shorter than my chin.
I need my hair long for headbanging Punk

Whoa, I was told that the more often you wash your hair; the greasier they'll get and the shorter the periods between having to wash, gets.

In a normal week, I wash my hair two times, sometimes three.
I get superparanoia about smelly hair when I get back from the horses, so I sniff it a zillion times, but it doesn't really have any effect on my hair.

When I wash my hair too often, it gets real gross, so I just leave it.

I now wash it every other day.
usually I'm too lazy to shampoo and go through the process of drying and shit...

My hair's really long and thick, go figure.

I put leave-on conditioner or perfume to keep it from smelling icky. :XD

I wash it every day. It's hot here, and humid, so.

I can't sleep if my hair isn't clean. My scalp gets itchy and keeps me awake. :shifty

Yeah I guess it has something to do with the climate you live in aswell.
Like, in Holland we don't even know what the sun looks like and our babies are born with naturally frizzy hair because of all the rain, so..

Still, I refuse to wash it more often than three times tops a week.
Shampoo is way too expensive to overdo it. :shifty

I don't really care about the shampoo or conditioner, if they're expensive or not I mean, but I just feel so filthy when going to bed and knowing that I have so many bacteria on my hair because I don't tie it up and the wind blows through it and dirt gets in it and so.

My money don't grow on trees unfortunaly.
But it's not like I don't wash my hair because I can't afford the freakin shampoo or anything, I'm just refusing to wash it more often because that's when my hair gets greasy.
You must think I'm a really gross person when I ride my horse with my hair down and the wind blows through it when we go for a gallop and afterwards, I just take a shower and comb my hair for a bit and sleep.

Okay, I didn't say it's not good when or how many times a week you wash your hair.I just don't really agree with people that wash their hair one time a week or so. They must be really filthy... omgno:

    I wash mine every day.

My friend only washes hers every second day because if she does it every day, her hair will dry out.

I thought that if you washed your hair too much, like once/twice a day, it would wash out all the natural oils in your hair & it would cause you hair to become greasy and mucky.

I wash mine once every two days but lately it's been getting greasier quicker so I've sometimes washed it once a day. I don't think the fact that I straighten my hair every day helps my hair at all.

I've stopped straightening my hair since school is out, and It's not like I'm going anywhere, so it doesn't really matter what my hair looks like. :XD

I've stopped washing it everyday, because it started getting icky. Now I wash it every other day. Usually like 3-4 times a week.

    I have thin hair.
I wash it maybe two or three times a week.
Sometimes more exspecially when the pool gets opened. : D
My hair will get greasy after four or five days of not being washed and that's a long time.

I have majorly thick hair. It is nice because you can do anything to it style wise but otherwise it tangles if you don't take care of it when you get out of the shower and it get really poofy all the time. It takes forever to straighten too. I usually wash it every day to every other day. It gets greasy really fast.

    My sister has thick hair.
It does take forever to straighter her hair, I've done it once and it took like 45 minutes.
She has to wash hers everyday (cause she's psycho and doesn't care about using up the Earth's water supply.) [/spam]

I wash mine every other day, maybe every third if I'm just at home.
By washing your hair everyay , your washing out all the natural oils that keeps your hair all shiny looking -swishes head like on shampoo adverts(coz I'm cool like that)-
I also straighten my hair an awful lot, everyday if I'm at school, but I'll leave it if I'm at home and just tie it up. My hair was always really soft and swooshy (yes I made it up =P) but lately its become a lot more dry and wierd feeling.
It's good to leave your hair and not do anything to it (wash, straighten, hairdryer, ect.) on days that you don't do anything.
Also using a hairdryer drys your hair out terribly! I stopped a couple of years ago when my hairdresser told me it was bad to use too much heat with out a really good heat protector.
I use heat protector now and my hairs nice, but, like a said, its going dry =/
    not happy. lol.
I have three months off now as I've finished school. So I won't be doing a lot with my hair in that time unless I'm going out.
I'm also getting it dyed again. Red & Black =D.
That may be a reason for the dryness too actually -thinks to self-
anyway.. I'm trying to keep the heat off of my hair and with the sun too it'll probably go dry =/
Also I'm one of the lucky people, in that when it rains my hair stays the same, unless its a dreadful downpour and it gets soaked then I'm in trouble.
