Where I live, if you don't wash your hair everyday they consider you an unhygienic freak. Though all their hair is damaged from the washed of it everyday and the constant straightening. xD

I wash mine every three days. Sometimes every four days, because I have really frizzy hair that dries out if you wash it too much.. =]

    take-a-breath:
I wash mine every other day, maybe every third if I'm just at home.
By washing your hair everyay , your washing out all the natural oils that keeps your hair all shiny looking -swishes head like on shampoo adverts(coz I'm cool like that)-
I also straighten my hair an awful lot, everyday if I'm at school, but I'll leave it if I'm at home and just tie it up. My hair was always really soft and swooshy (yes I made it up =P) but lately its become a lot more dry and wierd feeling.
It's good to leave your hair and not do anything to it (wash, straighten, hairdryer, ect.) on days that you don't do anything.
Also using a hairdryer drys your hair out terribly! I stopped a couple of years ago when my hairdresser told me it was bad to use too much heat with out a really good heat protector.
I use heat protector now and my hairs nice, but, like a said, its going dry =/
    not happy. lol.
I have three months off now as I've finished school. So I won't be doing a lot with my hair in that time unless I'm going out.
I'm also getting it dyed again. Red & Black =D.
That may be a reason for the dryness too actually -thinks to self-
anyway.. I'm trying to keep the heat off of my hair and with the sun too it'll probably go dry =/
Also I'm one of the lucky people, in that when it rains my hair stays the same, unless its a dreadful downpour and it gets soaked then I'm in trouble.
I used to straighten my hair alot, but now that school is out and I'm not going anywhere I just wash it every other day and leave it alone. It's actually getting better, since the last time I've straightened it was about two weeks ago. :XD

And for the rain thing, whenver it rains my hair gets horribly frizzy and I'm all like omgno:

    I've learned a lot.

Haha, but I wash my hair everyday. (I'm a hygienic freak.)
But now I think I'll try washing it every two day.

I wash my hair every second day, the first day is poofy hair day, the second is goodhair day and in the evening it's washing again. :XD
When school's done, I'm gonna have to bear washing it less though, 'cause during scouting camp, you wash yourself maybe three times at the most in ten days, and often it's just too cold to wash your hair (though last year, we just cooked water. :tehe:)
Anyways, I don't want to have filthy hair the third day already, so I'll have to bear washing it less. :XD

I was my hair every day - I'd rather wash it every other day or so, but my hair gets greasy after, like, twelve hours. It's annoying. I think I need to change shampoo or something. =/

^The more often you wash your hair, the easier it gets greasy.
If you wash your hair every day, it will get really greasy if you skip a day. If you wash your hair, like, every fourth day or whatever, it gets greasy the fifth day, or whatever.

During the school year, I wash it every day. In the summer, I wash it every two or three days because I take late night showers when my mom is asleep and I don't wanna wake her up. The shower is really loud.
I never thought about not washing it every day.
After two days, my hair gets really greasy. So I put my hair up a lot. If I don't put it up, my head itches and my hair isn't abnormally soft like it usually is.

I found this shampoo by Head and Sholders that makes my hair really soft and silky.
    :yah
It's like...it's got pink swirls on it? Hahaha. I'll get the name later. It works well if you have dry hair, lots of hair or lots of dandruff. I have a lot of hair and a small case of dandruff and it's amazing for me.

"Head and Shoulders: Smooth and Silky".
Lmfao. How ironic that I couldn't piece that together on my own.
    :XD

It smells good, too! That makes up for the not-so-original name.

I used to use Head and Shoulders, but it didn't work with my dandruff too much. All it did was dry my hair out. :cheese:

I know, I had a little bit of dandruff and I used H&S and it sucked because it dried my hair out too. But it got greasy after 1 day, too. And hard to comb. H&S sucks, at least, for me.

I'm mysophobic too. I can feel the bacterium walking on my finger when I push the elevator button, or when I have to hold the bus' bars. It's terrible, because I know I'm not paranoid. They really do exist. I'm always afraid of getting Hepatitis A from not washing enough the food or eating without washing my hands.[/spam] :file:

Same thing down here in this part of Illinois. I usually wash mine every other day because it will get damaged and dry if I wash it too much. Some times everyday for a while and sometimes I will shower on the third day it just depends on how my hair honestly looks and what I am doing that day.

It is hard having so much hair though...I tend to break hair bands and it poofs out no matter what. It also takes forever to straighten and blow dry; like 45 minutes sometimes. So usually I don't bother straightening/blow drying my hair. It just stays a bit poofy and thick. It is a little better if I comb it majorly and spray it down with a kind of anti-poof straightening gel. But having thick hair also has it's benefits as in you can hold curls better and it looks really healthy.

When I take a shower, it's usually like this.
Wash hair, shampoo, wash, shampoo again, shave with soap, drain the tub, shave just wet while its draining.
    To insure smooth-ness.
    :cute:
    I do things twice.
