I don't really think that I would get a tattoo just because it looks cool. I would only ever get a tattoo for a reason, so that I have a story behind it.
The tattoo I have now has a story behind it, even if it isn't one I paricularly like.
I like the thought of that. Tattoos should have a story behind them.

My parents think tattoos are for "trashy" people, while as my sister thinks they're for "crazy" people.

I disagree with them, since, well, some police officers may have tattoos. Does that make them, a person whom works their ass off to keep our town protected, "trashy" or "crazy"?

As long as there's a real reason why you got a tattoo, or if it signifies something, then it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But if you just get a tattoo, you have to make sure you won't get sick of it in a few months. I'm pretty sure no one wants to get supposedly deadly surgery to remove it. Getting a tattoo isn't like a haircut; hair grows back...tattoos....well, you're stuck with it, kid.

^ People in the military have tattoos, too. I've met/seen a good handful with them. I've even seen a Buddhist teacher with sleeves, too. He was a pretty cool guy in general.

I want a star tattoo because of something my mum told me when my grandad died.
I got some lecture about 'prison tattoos' from my dad yesterday when I told my mum I wanted it.
He has 4, all to do with american football. and my mum had a small rose on her hip. my dad told her it wouldn't hurt so she got it done and came out with tears in her eyes. my dad laughed.

I asked for it for my 18th birthday (still two years but aah well) n my mum said yes I was like what!? seriously!
But if I asked for my lip pierced she would say no. =/

    parents are strange creatures..
but once your legal to have one they can't really say a lot I supose.

edit: woo finally off writes block! and off to watch heroes![/spam]

I've always wanted one where Frank Iero has his scorpion, only I wanted a black widow spider. I've thought about it again and again for more than a year and I still really want it. Right at that spot.

I was still gonna look for spider designs but I found one which was absolutely brilliant.

I don't know why I have a fascination with neck tattoos right below the ear. I read a book where a character had a blue star behind his ear and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I guess if getting a credibe job sounds dubious after I get it, I may just have to get it at my nape, even if I won't really be able to see it. Haha.

I wanna get it when I turn 18, at a really good place recommended by my friend. I'll have to convince my parents, hardcore Christians, but it's something I really want, and there IS meaning behind the black widow, for me. The "looking cool" part is just a bonus.

    I want a tattoo. Bad.
I've always said that I will get a tattoo about something that has quite a lot of meaning to me. I'm firstly planning on getting a tattoo of 'The Umbrella Academy' logo, for me it has a lot of meaning. Then I'll think of one tattoo for Rav, she's like a sister to me, and she's a hero to me. Then I'd probably get something that reminds me of Isabel 'cause she's truly my bestest friend in such a short time and I feel as if I finally found someone who understands me and that I can trust.
(: And something else that reminds me of Trent Reznor.

Point is; I'm going to be filled with tattoo's.

Do you really want something that someone else already has? It's cool for sure, but I dunno, the thought of someone else having the same tattoo as me seems a little odd.

Well, I doubt the shop can pull it off exactly like that. If I'm changing, it'll be minor details. I'm really in love with it :XD

I also want the art of Kurt Halsey tattooed on me. He's one of my absolute favorite artists, and his work is really meaningful too. Dunno which one and where, but his stuff is lovely and colorful and I'd love to get one. The antithesis of the spider :XD

I love my ink and I want more!

The first one I got I was 18, I got a dolphin jumping out of the sea on my lower back. I'd wanted this since I was 12, I have no idea why I wanted it, I just did. I've always loved dolphins. I think they're so graceful, and I just wanted it. And seeing as I never changed my mind, I decided to stick with it when the time came to be inked and got it.

My second tattoo I was 20. It's a blue rose and pink stars. And God it hurt! There's no fat on your foot, just skin and bone. Ouch, I can still feel the pain Cry . But it was totally worth it.

My 3rd tattoo, which I'm getting soon is a cancer ribbon (fingers crossed it'll fit on my wrist). My auntie has skin cancer, and she's gone through a hell of a lot and she's still fighting it. So she gives me belief that no matter how hard things get, I can still fight it and come out laughing. So the ribbon will be black fading into orange, with "seize the day" above it, and "I am not afraid" below it.

My 4th tattoo that I want is, like sheet music, with propper notes, not tabs and I want it for the back of my neck. I want my favorite song by MCR "Early sunsets..." and it'll be my favorite line. But I need someone to design that for me.

I've personally designed all my tattoos and they're all original works :con:

I see a lot of HIM fans whom get the same tattoos as Ville and its pointless.
There's a picture of Ville and a fan, Ville has his arm out. The one with his sleeve and the fan has half a sleeve done and its the exact same as Ville's.
You can only imagine the look on Ville's face...

    Can you hear ME?:
My mother said if I pay for it myself I can get a tattoo on my 15th birthday. :D

Anybody know what base prices are for tattoos?
My base price in the Midwest is 50.
Base price in California was 75.

    There's not really base prices for tattoo's;
Generally there is a base price, what is referred to as the "minimum".
It covers the cost of the tools they'll use since certain things can't be reused.
It goes up from there depending on colors, size, etc.

    ^ What did you get?

I adore tattoos. Seriously, I think they are so beautiful and I'd love to be a tattoo artist one day, though I doubt it will ever happen.

It's an art form to me, and as long as it's done properly with sterelized equipment and in good conditions I think it's fine. I wish other people could see it the same way, because I despise it when people with tattoos are looked down on.
