    How likely is it that an Industrial piercing done with two CBRs (instead of a bar bell) the holes not aligning correctly? I mean pierces simply would never use that method if it would NEVER (or hardly ever) align correctly, right? I have seen a lot of negative personal experiences on the internet. Is the reason that the overwhelming of experiences I read were negative because of the principal that "if you have a bad experience you will tell everyone but if you have a good experience you will tell very few?" I understand that there is still the chance the piercing won't align properly when pieced with two CBRs but is there a way to minimize that risk? And just what are the odds of it not aligning correctly? Thank you for your help.

    I had stretched my lobes up to a size 2g plug with no issues whatsoever. I massaged my lobes with emu oil once a day and cleaned them with a sea salt mixture as well. One day I just got tired of the stretch and took my plugs out. That was eight months ago and my lobes had shrunk down to nearly their original piercing size.

    That being said, I went to try and begin the stretching process once more. I worked my way up to a 10g so far but once I went to stretch to an 6g I felt a resistance I've never felt before. There's not scar tissue build up, or past tearing to worry about but I've been babying my lobes at this size for the past three months and I'm just wondering if letting my lobes shrink back up could have caused this? It was always so easy to size up in the past. :(

    In other news, I'm planning on getting my septum pierced for my birthday at the end of October and I've heard the pain is pretty bad. Any suggestions on how to cope? I have a horrible pain threshold but I've wanted this for years!

    I wish I could help you, but considering the fact that I got my industrial pierced through with the needle I really can't cause I really don't know what are the risks with 2 CBR ;-;
    Although, mine didn't even hurt that bad, like I really didn't even feel pain and it. I think it depends on how you get it pierced ;-;

    I'm getting an ear cartilage piercing just after Christmas, and I guess I'm asking for a bit of information? I've done my research for about six months now, but first-hand experiences can't be a bad thing now, can it?
    First off, how much approximately does it hurt? Yes, I know it will hurt, I'm not stupid.
    Would you be able to wear a swimming cap over it, after about a month of having it?

    @ sheepcat;
    I have two forward helix cartilage piercings and I got them done in August. They hurt a decent amount - on my pain scale, maybe a 6; I got stitches without anesthetic (for something else!) and it was about like that, painful but over fairly quickly. Mine throbbed for a day or two and that hurt but not terribly.

    After a month I wasn't able to sleep on that side but that's me personally, so you might have no trouble putting something (like a swimming cap) over the piercing.

    So. I actually did get me cartilage pierced. She misfired the gun and I had to ask if the piercing was in. Like, on the pain scale of one to ten it was not even one. It throbbed a little after I got it done, but it didn't bother me too much. I was able to sleep on it the day after it was done without it hurting too badly.

    I'm really happy with it. In Love My next piercing of choice would be an industrial or another cartilage piercing, lower down though.
    But my mum's saying "no" at this point. And the swimming cap is fine. Thumb up

    I don't suggest an industrial. It's really a bitch. And it gets infected like madly crazy ;-;

    I know. That's a reason that I'm more hesitant to get it. But I'll have to wait a year since the only time of year I can get piercings and such is in my swimming off-season. Maybe I won't want it in a year; maybe I will, who knows.

    I have my firsts done and I really want to get my seconds.
    After that I want to get my tragus done on one ear and I really want my lip done. Spider bites I think? So it's two rings on the same side on your lower lip. I want that Mr. Green
    I also want a nose ring but I'm not sure how it'd look. Especially if I got my lip done... I really wouldn't want to get a stud because all of the b*tches at my school have that... So no.

    BUT I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF YEAR 10 - the end of next year - FOR THE LIP OR NOSE PIERCING BECAUSE MY SCHOOL IS A BAST*RD WHEN IT COMES TO PIERCINGS THAT ARE ON YOUR FACE UNLESS YOU'RE DOING VCE (year 11-12)

    I'm at size 8 stretchers and I'm not sure how big I want to stop at. I'm not going past zero, since I might need normal or no piercings for a STEM career and zero is usually the threshold for reshrinking. I lost my oil bottle a while ago though.

    I'm also considering getting a nose ring, but for the same reason as above, I guess I shouldn't.

    I just got my belly pierced like two weeks ago and I'm using anti-bacterial soap like the after care instructions said to...I also did tea tree oil but I don't know if that's helping :/ I'm currently trying sea salt soaks twice a day, seems to be taking away the crusties. I'm super paranoid it'll get infected...

    Ah! Piercings! My favorite things!
    I have spider bites on the left side.
    I love them so freaking much!
    My ears are pierced which, of course, is no biggie.
    I actually gauged my right ear to a 14 the other day.
    I had to repierce my left ear yesterday. (Actually a friend did it.)
    So now I have to piercings on that side. I plan to gauge the new one.
    Eventually they will be fours! Yay!
    Sadly, that's all I have. Maybe my belly button and/or tongue in the future.

    I love piercings. Currently I just have my ears pierced. I plan on getting my nose/lip/belly button/ears all the way up in the future. I thought about getting my hips pierced, but doubt I will (even though it looks so cool, I heard it's not really the easiest to take care of). I may or may not get my tongue pierced as well.

    I'm not the best at taking care of piercings, but I do love them on people who can pull them off.

    I've had a labret piercing (right side) for over three and a half years and I took it out the other day because I want to get something different. Has anyone else had a labret piercing for a decent amount of time and taken it out? Did it close up and if so how long did it take?

    I have my ears pierced eight times, three on the right side and five on the left and I love to wear small hoops on them, they look so cool. I also have my tragus pierced (also on the left side) and my belly button piercing is still healing. :)
    I would love to get my nose pierced, but I don't know if I'll do it because of my future career, I don't think people would hire an engineer with a nose ring...

    I would really, really love to get a nose ring after I graduate (private school problems). And this was very helpful, so thank you!
    The only thing I'm scared of is when I sleep with the nose stud/ring in that it will catch on something and fall out while I sleep. Probably an unlikely occurrence, but I just can't help worrying about it.

    I have my ears pierced, on the lobe so "normally", but I'd love to get them pierced again above my original holes. And I haven't totally decided on whether or not I want to get the top of my ears pierced yet, but I'm debating it.

    Does anyone here have a snug ear piercing? I am wondering what the pain and healing is like. I used to have my nose and lip pierced, is it similar or worse?

    I'm seriously considering getting my nipple pierced. Anyone here have theirs done, and can tell me about the pain and healing, and any other bits and bobs they think I might want to know? Thanks Cute
