    Mmmmm...
Hetrosexual relationship stories have ben a big "ew" for me. For one, I find it uncomfortable since the fact I'm gay, and I don't think that straight girls like reading sex scenes that include a girl and a boy. But that's only with like the one's that have sex scenes, obviously.

I know quite a lot of hetrosexual stories that are popular and commented on a great deal.

One question, do you not read slash because of your religion?

Um, I do. lol That's the only kind of 'sex scene' I will read. It's the only kind I write, too.

I don't see why straight girls think it's gross to read it. It doesn't make since. Do you think sex is gross? How're you going to explain that one to your husband? :file: Not to mention, slash sex is still sex.

No. I just don't like it.

I prefer slash over het. It doesn't gross me out or anything, I just tend to find more things a bit more interesting in slash stories than in het stories. Particularly because I could go to the library and get a book with heterosexual romance any day.
It mixes it up a bit, reading slash, I guess. x]

I like both equally, I think.

I'm big on giving stories chances, as a couple that started out really crappy became amazing towards the end.

And there are amazing slash stories, amazing het stories, so I try not to deprive myself by condemning either.

I prefer het, but I'll read either depending on how it's written.

when it's an original work, it's all good. i like het as much as i like slash. :]

I'll read either as long as it's a good story. Sex in stories isn't that big a deal for me. It's just the story itself i look at.

I prefer slash above anything because I, usually, find het uncomfortable to read, but I read het from Princess. cause I adore how she writes it, and she's the only one I'll read it from.

I find it uncomfortable because I'm a girl, and I'd rather not read about...well, myself, pretty much. I'd rather read about guys, cause I like guys, and I'm not a guy. Smiley

I don't mean to sound like I'm flaming (which is funny because we're talking about homosexuality), but I think slash is a guilt thing. All the people I know who read slash are about my age, and I'm...I'm horny, but if you put me in a room with people making out, I freak out. So slash is basically sex which I man physically incapable of participating in. It's less threatening.

Anyway, when I'm in the right mood, I can hit some het.

I prefer slash, but once in a blue moon I will read het. But only if it's well-written.

I'm quite fond of Billie Joe/Adrienne Armstrong stories, so that's basically the only het I'll read. I think it's because I'm so familiar with Billie and Adie.

I'll read pretty much anything when it comes down to it. I do prefer slash over het, but I will read het, especialyl from Adora Angel since she is my friend and I trust her. But I think slash and het are at the same level I think. If that makes sense...i don't know >_<

I prefer slash, but every once in a while I'll read a het fic. Basically if it's just a good read, I'll read it. But I agree with Jepha Howard. If I ever wanted to read a het story I could pick up just about any one of them from the library or something. :file:

I like het over slash anyday, I can't get into slash and it really does not interest me.

I love both het and slash equally.
I've never felt uncomfortable reading about a girl and guy having sex, nor have I ever felt uncomfortable reading guy/guy or girl/girl.
I'm a straight girl, but I know when a woman is attractive, and if the woman in said story has an attractive personality, I'll be really okay reading about them having sex. If that makes sense...

So yes, I love het. :XD

I seldom find an original fic here that's worth reading [even with slash]... so I content myself with reading het in published books.

I love both.I have stopped reading a lot of het stories though because they became cliche, and I leaned on slash more often, but then I'd find the slash too repetitive and I'd lean back to het then. :XD
I really like both. I'll read a story with any kind of pairing, as long as it's written good.
That's mostly what matters to me.

    I like both.
Somedays I'm in slash mood, others I'm in het.
It just depends if it's well written or not.

I prefer het over slash, although I will read either.

Het is all I write. I don't really feel like I could write a good slash, so I stick with what I know how to write.

I feel like het is kind of looked down upon, but at the same time I can understand why. A lot of het fics that are popular can be very cliche, and may not seem as deep as slash, since with slash you naturally have a lot of emotions to play with...

But yeah, I generally stick to het...for comfort. x]

Personally, I prefer it when aliens are involved but whatever. :XD

I don't see what's wrong with it, tbh. I write a lot of hetreorelationships but never really too much detail because I can't write it, despite reading Mills and Boons books. :XD
