All the time I hear people putting themself and even others down about body image. People eather think they're too fat, too tall, too skinny, ect. It's crazy how out of control the way we look at ourselves is getting. People are hurting themselves in order to get the "perfect body." I'm sorry to say, but Hannah Montana got it right; nobody's perfect. There will always be things that you won't like about your body. It doesn't matter if your a 5'9 size 2 super-model or a 4'10 size 14 artist, you're still gonna find things that you think need improving.

So I say as a 5'31/2 140ish llb size 10/11 woman, let's forget all our insecurities and love our bodies. We only get one! Wear that mini skirt that you've been eyeing. Go to the public pool in your tinyest swimsuit. It doesn't matter, as long as you're happy with yourself. Who gives a f*ck what other people think?

Ok I'm done. *gets off her soapbox

    I AGREE WITH YOU!

We all have those days when we hate our bodies, but we need to realize that we are perfect just as we are!

There's so many girls with self image problems.

I agree with you. People say skinny girls are anorexic, and bigger girls are fat. There is no happy medium.

It's easy to get all feminist and say love your body but the truth is when someone who can't stand how they look, sees themselves in the mirror they can pick out ever flaw they have and then fall to pieces. It;s more then just saying love yourself, that person has to believe it and want to do it.

In most cases a shove and a push is needed and then in some, more serious help is called for.

I for one hate the way my body is shaped, but I love certain things about myself too, but it took a very long time and alot of help to see it. But I still have difficulty looking into a mirror if I have to look at anything that isn't from my boobs up.

The only thing I like about my body is my eyes, boobs, height, calves and nose. I hate my hips, stomach, waist, thighs, ears and basically everything else.

Call me crazy but you know what it, it doesn't help when your 5'2 220lb grandmother calls you fat.

Although I'd love to be okay with myself, I'm not.
It's not as easy just ignoring what other people think of you. I wish it was easier for me. Sad

I don't really like my body. I like my face, but not my body.
I was never satisfied with my body weight. My mom and some relatives call me fat also, so they're not really helping. I frequently compare my weight to other people. I am constantly skipping meals to get thinner, and so on. I'm... pretty desperate.

    Sad
I'm not that fator at least I think so, but I am not skinny, also. I would like to be skinny, and a little bit taller. Call me whatever you want but I want to have a model's body, height, and face. I want to be a model, actually. :shifty

I like Aphrodite's proportions. Or Ruben's women. But ultimately I don't think I mind skinny girls either. As long as it's healthy it's okay. The inside matters.
    :cute:
I don't like how I look but not because of my weight. I just don't like how I look.

I have a girl who like rides my bus and every single day she asks Am I fat.
And there is a heavy set girl who is big, and she tells her no. It's like bad because she has no self confidence and like needs to make sure she looks good. I don't like that people call me anorexic because I'm naturally thin. I mean all I eat is junk food. I mean I also hate the fact that I have no butt which I'm happy but I've got a C chest. It irks me cause I'm very self concious of how my body looks in an outfit.

I don't know, for me, sometimes I'm okay with my body, sometimes I hate it. But in general, I always find something wrong with everything from head to toe. I used to have a huge problem with how I looked, but for some strange reason, I've just stopped caring. It's not that I've starting seeing the good I have; I've just accepted the fact that I am not one of those people with the looks.

I'm okay with my body, I'm a bit chubby but I've been working on it and have been losing weight. What I hate is when people skinnier then me complain about how fat they are then compliment me on how good I've been looking. It really kind of just makes their compliment worthless to me.

if it makes anyone better, people are so wrapped up in them selfs to really care about ur appearance. and why do you really care what people think about you, you shouldnt care about if the random stranger or classmate thinks somethings wrong about you because in about 1 year time or less you will forget about them or they will forget about you. life is so much easier if you just do things without wondering about what people think.

Everyone has certain parts of their bodies they hate and certain parts they love but I will never love everything about me. I just don't see it as possible.
I love my eyes, hair, stomach, boobs and my hands.
but I hate my butt, my hips, my thighs, my legs, my height, my weight, my nose, my cheeks and my feet. So far I haven't found one reason to even begin to like them so I do things to change them and when that doesn't work I just get upset.
    I'll probably never change.

Hah, I find it quite ironic that, as I write this, there is an ad on the top of this page that says "ARE YOU FAT!? CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE QUIZ!"

I agree that it's pretty ridiculous to cast only skinny girls for movies and shows, and hire only skinny models for magazines and advertisements. It makes a lot of girls look down upon themselves and the way they look. However, if a girl is overweight and doesn't like it, I agree that she should be able to change if she wants to. I don't condone anorexia or bulimia, but healthy dieting and/or exercising is completely fine. I don't think it's ridiculous to want to lose weight.

I'm always self conscious when I'm around my friends. Only because one of my friends is rail thin, and I'm just... Not. When I hear or see people laughing, I always think they're laughing at me, too.
