This one's pretty straightforward: where do you work, or have you worked before?

I work for a phone dealer. It's pretty sweet- $45k a year to sit around and sign contracts. Plus you make commission on your sales, and they company pays your phone bill.

But I'm sure some of you have more interesting jobs than my boring one as a desk-filler. Anyone else?

It's quite fun though, and the hours are good.

I do occasional dog-sitting... I don't have a set rate that I charge since it's only people my parents work with.

    I usually get $50-$100.

I like not having a real job. =P

I worked in a hair salon about two years ago.
I swept the floors, answered the phones, stocked the shelves, did the laundry, and got them lunch one day, which almost got me killed.
I worked every Wednesday for about six or seven weeks and got paid $25 per day.
I worked from 11:30-ish to 6-ish in the evening.
I really didn't like it, honestly.
But yeah, haven't been able to get a job since.
No one wants to hire me.

Wow, $25 a day isn't much given the hours you worked... here minumum wage is $6.50 an hour. No wonder you didn't like it.

I'm not sure what our minimum wage is.
The main reason I didn't like it was that it messed with my sleeping and I would be cranky all day.
And I just felt awkward, not really knowing what to do.
My mom told the owner I would come in before she ever told me about it.

The only reason I didn't like it was because my mom told the owner I would come in without asking/telling me about it.
She just came home one day and goes "Yeah, you go in every Wednesday to work."

I worked at an art store over Christmas, hated it. I'm still on my 500 hours, so I got 6$ an hour. I really didn't like it.

I currently have three jobs. D:
    -I babysit every Saturday 7:30am to about 3pm and get 35$ [4.60$/h]
-I dog walk just about every dog in my complex. About 10$ a day / per dog.
    -I have a paper route. 7¢ a paper and I have a route of 71, so 15$ a week.
But I'm quitting babysitting this week or next, and I'm getting a another route of about 50 papers and then I'm quitting everything and going to work at Wal-Mart in November for Christmas.

D: All this to pay for a trip to Europe. It better be worth it.

Right now I am working at a Pizza place. It's okay, pays the bills. I get 7 dollars an hour, off the books, and work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11-5 (11-7 on Thursday). Its alright, a no brainer really, but the owner right now is being a general jackass because business is slow. So he keeps like treating me like crap and talking down to me. I am trying to get a second job at Hot Topic to, maybe, we'll see. I am shooting the Staten Island Advance as well as a reporter. But right now that one job is okay- for now.

    ...Freebies much? :P

Food places are great because there's usually freebies at the end of day. In highschool I had a friend who worked at a doughnut place. We were 14, and so she was the first one of us to get a job- after seeing all the doughnuts she brought to school (half a packet of stale, mishapen lumps, whoah!) we were in a panic to sign up for minimum wage... Ah, we were so young and naive!

Nowadays, I pretty much expect doughnuts at work, just as compliments. 8)

I get free pizza at my job. The real food, like salads and wraps are half the price we charge the customers, and I get free unlimited drinks. It slightly makes up for the owner's bitchy attitude.

It's funny; at my boyfriend's work, he can get unlimited 300ml drinks, but isn't allowed to touch the 600ml bottles. It's like, his boss thinks that he won't just take multiple 300ml bottles instead, lol...

And I know it's not even to do with the price of the items. Both sizes sell out just as quickly, and they actually make more profit off the smaller bottles, which cost about the same.

I work at MacDonalds. The flexibility is amazing and the pay for my age isn't too bad, considering how many shitty customers you have to deal with while working there. (I get paid $9.40 an hour, with double time on public holidays)

I need the flexibility because of horse competitions that can come up on the weekends and such.

I make a pretty xcore mcslave, if I may say so myself.

I babysit. Which is a waste of my time as I get £2.50 for 2 hours. And I only work 2 days a week. I'm going to try and get a Saturday job in my local comic shop now I have my national insurance card. Though the guys that work there are scary.

But, they may get more customers as every time I go in there, teenage boys look at me as if I have 2 heads.
