I do have very good grammer, punctuation and spelling, but I've always been confused where the ' goes with some words. The whole 'ownership' thing does my head in. -.^ So I'm going to check this software out, and if it means I have to transfer my whole novel of word to the software, I might call it quits. But I'll look at it anyway and see if I like it or not first ;]
Holy bejeezus. This is incredibly helpful. I'm amazed, and so happy that I found this now, especially since I just started writing my 2nd book. Thanks for posting this up!
Jers Novel Writer is similar, plus it's free and has a Mac version (I have it on my laptop, though I never use it). I don't remember where I downloaded it from, but you can probably just google it.
I use yWriter. It's brilliant, but does need a bit of getting used to in order to really see the beauty of it. It helps if you want to work on one chapter that is waaay ahead but don't want to get mixed up in the process. It keeps track of your characters, scenes, locations, etc. Though, personally, I don't use any other options than the scenes and characters (too lazy to always put the current locations).
FocusWriter is great if you get distracted easily. You can customize the setting, make it so when you type is sounds like the clicks on a typewriter, and set time-frames and word goals.
I have a perpetual fear of using any writing software other than Microsoft Word, no matter how cool it sounds, simply because I'm terrified of it losing my work
When I need to prepare any documents, write and create them from scratch, I always prefer to find a way that makes my job easier. For example, I often use document templates, I find them here https://www.pandadoc.com/inbound-services-agreement-template/. You can quickly edit the template, fill in your data and use it.
