How Do You Like Your Nails?

But I shape them and keep them moisturized. And push my cuticles back regularly. When I paint my nails I often use nail stencils to put patterns on them.
At the moment they are zebra striped. :XD

I like my nails short and red.
Or maybe purple. Or some other strong color. I occasionally like black too.
But when I'm in school I usually can't be bothered and they attract too much attention so I'll just leave them blank.
I don't have the patience to let the grow or make any fancy drawings on them.

I keep them shortish, so they don't come past my fingertips but are still aren't stumpy. I play bass guitar, so plucking is a bugger if they're too long.
I'm also likely to have them painted black, but that's not a necessity. Sometimes I'm just too lazy.

Typing for me when they're long is something that'll drive me crazy.
And playing guitar isn't all that easy with long nails. :XD

Mine are short where I chew them but not "ow that hurts I'm bleeding!" short.
And tidyish and black.
I use Barry M nail polish. It's really good lasts about 7-9 days with under/topcoat.

Actually, I know a few guys who keep their nails half an inch long so they can pluck songs better on guitar and stuff. :tehe:

They make me giggle!

I paint them all the time, which is why I often dip them in olive oil.

They're always short and colourful. I don't mind french manicure, I can just never pull it off by myself.
The colours I use the most are:

Rimmel Lasting Finish 301 Ash Rose
Maybelline Colorama 22 Jelly Bean

I have quite long nails. I like it.
And for some reason they always stay smooth, which is nice when I want to use nail varnish.
I've found that the Grass Green Rimmel Lasting Finish stuff stains your nails yellow.

And I can't remember, I gave up on them awhile ago.

I bite my nails so they're really short and not as normally shaped.

But it looks okay, because I have long thin fingers. And I need short nails for guitar.

I keep my nails short-ish. I keep them all one color, usually dark plum or a dark sapphire blue. I think it's prettier than black, plus it's something you don't see as often.

I don't really like fake nails or designs on myself. It's too much work for me.

Haha I never heard someone boast about someone's nails, though my friends always compliment mine. They're not really pretty though, it's just the designs I paint on that are pretty.

I also have to keep my nails short because of piano. Usually, I paint them "antique copper". When I can be bothered and I have all the right colours, I paint them black with angled blood red tips. It looks nice as hell. No pun intended.

I like my nails semi-long
but I sadly have really poor quality nails so they start pealing or breaking and it hurts too.

But when they don't break and stay how they should then I go and get a manicure. I love taking care of my nails. :tehe:

I hate doing my nails. I have a habit of biting them, so they're semi-short. I can't stand it when they're long. :grr: I also despise French manicures. They look stupid. Especially when those idiot girls at my school only have some instead of the full set on... They also weaken and make your nails thin, so yeah...

I don't give a shit when it comes to painting my nails. But, if it's on other people, I seriously gag a little when the colour totally doesn't match their skintone. Like, bright red on a dark skin tone or whatever.

You put on a colour like black, and then you wait for it to dry. You place the sticker that's got say...circles cut out for polka dots and put it on the nail. Then you paint straight over it and wait till it dries and then peel it off.
You can get like 100 of one pattern for $5 at this shop down the road from me. I have all different kinds. :tehe:
