Inspired by the upcoming Panic show, I decided to make this thread.

What type of clothes do you wear to a show? Do you dress warm, for the line outside, or cool so that you won't get too hot inside?

    What's better, comfort or style?

Do you dress differently depending on the venue?

    Discuss.

Its obvious when you go to a show to tell who dressed up trying to impress people and who came just to listen to the good music.

I would rather be in the latter catagory. Haha.

For me, I just wear a tanktop, a shirt, and a jacket. The jacket is for the line outside, the shirt is for the first few numbers, and then the tanktop is for when you feel like youre about to overheat with all the sweaty bodies around you.

Oh, and wear comfy shoes. Converses can be bad, it hurts when your feet get stepped on.

Either a tank top or band shirt (usually the band I'm going to see. I don't get all the fuss about "don't wear band shirts to concerts!" ) and tripp pants. The pants usually fit tightly and usually a pair of converse. Getting hurt is half the fun at concerts so I don't mind getting stepped on. :XD

I saw two girls in the GA wearing white dresses and high-heels.
It looked like they'd stumbled into the wrong building.

I'm going to see Panic too =]
I'm probably going to wear my skinny jeans, cons and some sort of top. I don't know what I'll do about a jacket.

I can never decide on a jacket. Because I don't want to have to carry it, and the people I'm with don't want to stand around holding my stuff either.

^ Same. My friend wont carry and I dont really want to carry it. But it will be freezing outside! The only thing is to wear it and keep it on, or tie it around your middle....or head.

^ But if you tie it around your middle it gets dragged down during the mosh, (Although I doubt there will really be much of a mosh this time round) and you spend the whole time trying to pull it up again.

Hopefully it'll be a nice warmish day so that that won't matter.
But this is Melbourne we're talking about.

Yeah, Perth is just as cold.
The only other option is to leave it on, or not take one.

Usually I wear jeans, the shirt of the band I'm seeing, and vans <- much more comfortable than converse for gigs. I also take a zip-up for when I'm outside, and when I'm inside I tie it around my waist so tight that it can't come undone.
I'm seeing Muse next week and it's an outside gig. It's summer, but it's Ireland so you can't guarantee good weather. I guess I'll wear the same, but different shoes as my vans have holes in. So, if it rains, I'll have soaking feet. Nice.
I might wear my hair in a ponytail too, last time my neck was drenched with sweat.

I went to a few concerts in the winter... and brought my jacket... and didn't check it in, because I wanted to get a good spot.
    Big mistake. Never again.

For winter concerts, I wear jeans, winter boots, some random [band] shirt and a sweater.
For summer concerts (or concerts in warm weather), I wear a [band] shirt and jeans, or shorts.

Comfort is so much more important than style at a gig. The amount of times I've been bruised by huge spikes beacuse they look nice to wear is ridiculous. The venue doesn't effect what I wear either...

Anyway. I always wear jeans and my converse. If I'm planning to buy a shirt, I'll wear a tank top so I can put it over the top, if not I'll just wear any old band shirt. If it's bad weather, I'll take a cheap hoodie for the queue and tie it around my waist when I get inside.

    And. That's about it. XD

A pair of skinny jeans, a band t-shirt, and converse. Plain, simple, and cute.

I normally wear a band tee, skinnies (colour depending on who I'm going to see), my black jacket ('cause it's been to every concert so far XD), maybe a scarf (depending on the weather) and a pair of Converse XD

I usually wear a lot of makeup, a band shirt (of the main band/one of the bands) I'm going to see, jeans, my Draven slipons, and my hair really big. But that's how I dress every day. Haha.

I wear jeans, a random band shirt, and Chucks. That's all I've ever worn to a show. Even if it was at an outside venue when it was 90 degrees, or I had to wait outside in line in a snow storm. :XD

I have a regulation outfit. :XD
I wear skirt band shirt sweater blah. But the most important thing is my concert boots.
Perfect for mosh pits and they give me confidence.
