I work as a hotel desk clerk. One of the best things (and sometimes the worst) about the job is all the foreign customers we get. If they speak enough English and are friendly enough, you can start up a conversation about their home country which can get very interesting. At least I find such conversations interesting. I like talking with foreign customers about their countries when I'm checking them in.

Some of the regular customers are pretty fun to talk with as well. A lot of our regulars are people we know can take a joke so it's fun at times when some of them come in because it has a habit of turning into a lot of joking.

Another perk is that I work for my parents, which is another thing that can also double as a bad thing. It's a good thing because I know I won't be getting fired as long as my parents are still managers of this hotel.

Another good thing about it is when it's a slow day, I'm free to sit in the backroom doing something like being on the computer or watching TV. I can do anything I want to in the back as long as I'm listening for the buzzer and attending to customers when they come in.

I'm not sure that this counts, but I'm like in love with the sushi chef at the store I work at.
    He's the cutest.

I get a 40% discount at Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works so I guess it could be worse. And they give us free stuff literally all the time.

    - Get off pretty much any time I need.
    - Catered food on busy days like Black Friday/inventory.
    - It's easy for me to break the copyright laws on printing Disney stuff when I'm the printer.
    - My Disney calendar -- which didn't technically break any laws as it was free. I made collages for all the months.

Most of our social media posts have pictures in them for marketing purposes, and someone has to eat all the product we take pictures of.

    SO MANY THINGS

    - the managers are super lovely
    - all of the employees (bar one) is so so nice and friendly and welcoming and JUST GREAT OK I LOVE THEM ALL
    - the work, it's either sorting out stock, working at the registers, cleaning the store (which is just putting back items), greeting customers or doing merch work
    - the location is about half an hour from where I live, but it's in a really nice shopping centre so that's always good
    - the pay is pretty decent, I'm pretty happy with it :D

I get a 50% discount on any clothes I buy, apart from coats. Those are only 30% and so is jewellery. Still a very good deal.

Also, time and half on holidays and when they send me out to train at another store, they cover all my travel costs including hotel and food budget*.

    * Up to a certain amount per day, obviously. Can't go completely nuts on their dime.

I get a 20% discount at the store.
So whenever I need to do something crafty and the store has it, it can really cut down the costs which is nice.
That's about the only perk I can think of. xP
