Before school starts, I was planing on dying my hair jet-black & doing red highlights or something of the sort. I'm a natural blonde & I've had red, reddish-brown & dark brown hair.

    Image
That's the color I am right now.

Do you think the black/red hair would suit me?

On top of that, I intend to grow my hair out like Taemin from SHINee in the Lucifer music video. (Or something similar)

    Image

Do you think it would work for me?

^ I think it would look great on you! Although, just from looking at your hair and then hers, I would recommend you get used to using a light texturizing product and a flatiron, if you don't already. Also, when you do grow it out and then get it cut in to that style, I'd recommend getting it tapered a little more closely along the side of your face than hers is, simply because your face shape is wider than hers and so a closer cut along the sides would be very flattering.

As far as the color, I may be biased because I do not like black hair at all nine out of ten times, but I don't think it'd look too great, to be completely honest. I'd say opt for a very dark brown, like a black-brown, that is still very rich and vibrant. That way you get the darkness of the black, but it won't wash you out and look so harsh. As for the red highlights, I think that's a great idea. I'm not sure what kind of red you were thinking, but if you were to go with the superduper dark brown, I think a bright copper-y red would look very pretty against it.

...But that's all personal opinion, of course (with a year and a half of beauty school experience and internship to boot) and I'm sure it'll look great, whatever you decide to do, but I hope I did help a little bit. x)

edit// Just reread that and I hope I didn't sound like a super bitch, like I usually do when it comes to hair. I'm very sorry if I did. :x

I have a billion pairs of flares my friend gave me (I'm a skinny jean addict) but no idea what to wear with them! I have dark denim, black, faded...alsorts. If anyone can give me some ideas of how to wear them casually & dressily I will love them forever.

Okay, so Im fairly new to trying on shades specific for my eye colour, so I have to ask this. tehe

I do simple 3 colour designs (if that makes sense). A lid colour, a crease colour, and a highlight. So, does anyone know any three shade combos that match blue/gray eyes real good?? Cute

My favourite combo so far isnt even for blue/gray eyes, so anything for blue/gray would be great. tehe

I've got the same eye colour, and I've found that browns, pinks, reddish purples, gold, bronze, and cream colours work really well.

I tend to stick to more natural shades lately, so I do a soft brown lid, a dusty purplish colour crease and silvery cream highlight for just every day wear, and I'll occasionally swap out one of the colours for something similar - once you get the basics of it there's plenty of room to mess around.
If you want something really bold though, a yellow/gold lid with an orange/red crease and a silver highlight looks amazing.

lmfao My bad. I didn't even know who Taemin was, but I just looked him up on Google and yep, definitely a dude. And a very, very attractive one at that.

But no worries; I'm really nit-picky about stuff like that too, when it's a band I like. Thank you for letting me know, though. It definitely made me laugh. xD

I bought some shoes a few days ago and I'm really not sure what to wear with them. My wardrobe is mainly black so I was thinking if I wore some straight legged black jeans, a black tanktop, some kind of scarf they'd look alright? I'm just really not sure and I need some suggestions, I'm even willing to go out and buy something :)

    Those shoes are amazing! Cheese
I would pick a colour from them, either the bright green or bright pink, and get a simple tank top in that colour, or use a scarf of that colour to tie them into your outfit. They could even look cute with some black tights and a black skirt, or some mid calf black tights with a long shirt/dress that falls mid thigh.
But I think that you need to use the bright pink/green to tie them in. You could even go with some chunky bracelets of that colour.
    Just some suggestions.

This isn't really about how to wear them, but you could always turn them into skinny jeans since you're a "skinny jean addict" Cute I've personally never done it myself but my friend's sister, who's really into sewing, has done it plenty of times.

Just to add one, you can also wear some accessories of those colors. OMGYES
If you wear all black with some of those splashed in, that would look really nice.

(Badass shoes by the way, wished I had them!)

Well...I'm not too hopeful about posting here, but I figured I'd give it another try.
I want to dye my hair and find some sort of style that works for it...
It's naturally brown. I've gone jet black before. I've even done purple streaks with the brown hair.
I'm not sure what I'm looking for...but I do know I want it to be different. I normally don't do anything with it at all aside from side parting it and straightening my nearly grown out bangs. The rest air dries into whatever curly, wavy, frizzy mess occurs. The first picture shows the natural state of my hair. The second picture shows more of my face shape...and my awkward self. haha
    herp
    and
    derp
Any help any of you could give would be much appreciated.

You have very similar hair to mine. I have some ideas for styles.
I can't tell from your picture or not if you have layers, but if you don't I recommend getting some long layers put in below your jawline. Just to even out the style of your hair.
As for your bangs, I recommend growing them out longer so they cut just above the corner or your eye and getting them to chip into them about so it's a little more edgy than just straight. I think that would suit your facial shape a lot better. Also, if you do that, make sure that you have a number of short pieces on the other side to balance it out.
I will see if I can find/draw you a picture of what I mean.

Also, I've been using silvers. Like a grayish silver for the lid, a silver silver for under my eye and a matte silver for the brow bone.

Alright so I just got my hair cut two days ago and my hair dresser went and styled it and it kinda looked like this but not quite as messy. What would I need to do in order to make my hair like that? I already have a bit of a natural wave to it if that is anything important.

After you wash your hair, I would probably put some mousse in it and scrunch it, then blowdry it with a round brush, wrapping random sections around the brush and holding it like that while you dry it so you'll get that curl. To get the volume on top, you could ease a round bush under the roots and blowdry like that to get that lift, and the bangs just look like they're blowdried straight with a round brush as well. Then after it's dry, tousle it some more with a smaller amount of mousse. You could probably get that piecey, texturized look at the ends by putting a bit of texturizing paste/putty in, but I've never used a texturizing paste, so I don't know how well it'd turn out.

    OHONHONHONHON Taemin~ *drool*
Sorry. Major SHINee and Taemin fan here. lmfao

I feel that my hair's been a bore. Granted, I never used products unless it's for occasion but it's usually my lack of styling experience that keeps me from being all "natural" with my hair. Anyway here's moi.

    Image

I'm also having a dilemma when it comes to a decent hairstyle but mainly the position of my layers and and the length. Layers end up being a must for me no matter the length as are bangs. Part of me wants to grow longer (It's been nearly two years since I've had my hair this long) and another part wanting to cut it short again and perhaps another part of me even wants Taemin's Lucifer hair. xD

Uh help before I start rambling off to existence? XD
