Is there a limit to how much you can write in one sitting? I don't know about you, but when I write, after a couple of hours, I feel something click and I have to stop. If I keep going, everything I write after that I just end up deleting, and afterwards, I feel really stupid for at least the rest of the day. When I write a lot, every day, the amount that I can write grows, and when I slack of it shrinks.

    Is anyone else like this?

    Hmm....
Usually, I have to write until I finish a section, chapter, et cetra. I don't let myself stop until it's done. I suppose you could call that a "limit," though it's not really what you're describing.

Sometimes, though, I get very, very antsy after I've been writing a long while, and I have to get up, take a break, and go back to my task later. That only happens if I've been writing for more than three hours, usually. That sounds a bit more like your situation.

I don't really have a limit. Sometimes I spend days writing, while other days, not a word comes from my fingers. It just depends on inspiration for me.

The limits you have for writing are the ones you have for yourself. If you spend all day worrying about not being able to write, chances are, you won't be able to.

I, myself, have never felt any.

Most of the time I just write until my ideas run dry. I've been writing spur-of-the-moment one shots lately, and none of them are really planned writing time. It's just a slap in the face kind of thing, and I have to get them done then or else I know I'll never finish them.

With the way I write though, I never really write more than a chapter a day unless I am REALLY on a roll. This is mostly because I am extremely lazy.

Though I have never considered my limits before... There was once a time when I could just write and write and write for hours on end, then get up and do it again the next day.

Now I don't really write much at all. It's kind of sad. I guess my limits have shrunk a lot.

I will write a lot some times. Like, I'll spend the most part of my day just writing chapters upon chapters for a story.

My limit usually is just when I get bored though. I mostly write because I have to, because my limitless days are few and far between. I quite often write half a chapter and come back to it, edit it, and write the rest of it. So I suppose maybe an hour or two is my average limit.

My limit depends on my mood and inspiration. The better my mood the more writing I'm bound to do. If my mood and inspiration were at its highest I could write all day.

Actually, with me, it depends somewhat on what kind of work I'm doing. Stuff that's already halfway decent, I can edit indefinitely, (That's my favorite thing to work on.) but writing all new stuff, especially stuff that I haven't planned out that much, that takes more of a toll.

Depends on how my muses are feeling that day. :tehe:
I can obsessively write for hours and other times I can be completely blank and have no inspiration whatsoever. I hate those days.

I get like this all the time!!! That's why I just put a limit to how much i have to write in a day. I don't want to stop writing and when i write a big long thing i break it up into Parts or posts with Smybols. It works for me. just though i'd put my two bits.

I think I'm like that. It's, like, I'm writing a chapter. Then, I suddenly can't write, but if I continue to, anyways, it all sucks. It's, like, forcing myself to write. :XD I learned in poetry that it's not good to "force" it; maybe it's the same for writing.

Depends on the day. Some days I can't write a paragraph, some days I can write a thousand words. For me, the limit is when I stop writing naturally. The second I start forcing the writing it's time to stop.

    The same applies to me.
Sometimes I can only come up with a single sentence. Disgust

    Same.

There are some days when I can just write. :shifty Like on He Doesn't Care. I wrote it in a few minutes, less than an hour.

I don't really have a limit, there are just some days where I have the inspiration to write a lot and other days where the inspiration isn't as much.
Sometimes it can take me a few days to write a chapter, but sometimes it only takes me fifteen minutes.

It depends on the story. When I'm home alone, no distractions, and I'm working on a story I like, then I get around 4 chapters done but I can usually never write for more than two or three hours straight.

I can take hours sitting down writing and writing a story, and sometimes I can't even write a decent paragraph. Depends on the inspiration.

I normally get distracted by everything! So I write about 3 paragraphs in a quick burst of creativity, then I get distracted, Whistle
Then who knows when I'll carry it on. :XD

My limit depends on where I'm writing. Usually when I write (an update or something) I only write bit-by-bit. The only time I really write continuously is during class (unfortunately). If I've got a three hour class, I could write for the entire three hours.

Anyway, I don't really have a limit. If I've got something to write, I write. If not, I stop. I can't really force myself to write, so...yeah.
