  • druscilla; day one.:
I've been watching too much Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
    I'm considering a Ryan/Brendon/SVU AU crossover.
In which Ryan was adopted by a pedophile.
    Do it. Wow

Will it help sway your vote if I tell you the idea is utter WIN?
    Because it is.
    :XD
I would love to read something like that.

On another note, I was at a PATD concert last week and because of this incident, it let me to write Panic GSF. :tehe:

  • Like I've probably said before, I love reading what inspires you guys. It makes me go and try some of your methods and I'll tell you, they work. Right now, everything I come up with sounds the total same. I have this one story though (fanfiction, what else?) but I've hit The Wall. I want to be able to write like some of you guys, because sometimes, if I'm in a bad mood, I'll come to Mibba and I'll read some of your stories/poems/articles, and I have to say, they're complete masterpieces. I can actually say I'm jealous of nearly everyone's writing skills on this site.

  • I wrote Words Were Meaningless because I wanted to experiment with description.

Babe in Arms came about, originally, because of a lyric from Flaunt It, I think. The lyric was "Kissing girls, kissing boys." The story was going to be seperated into two parts; Gerard's point of view and Lindsey's, entitled Kissing Boys, Kissing Girls respectively. However, it worked out differently.

Circus Freak and Criminally Attracted came from challenges a friend gave me.

I wrote The Whitelighter because I'd been watching Charmed a lot and thought it'd be interesting if I put Frank and Gerard into their world.

  • I get a lot of stories ideas at really unusual times.

I don't remember who, but a friend told me (whilst I was whining how I never have any ideas for writing anymore) that she always had a pen and a piece of paper next to her while she slept, just in case she gets an idea.

And she was right. I started writing more because a few of my stories actually are inspired by my dreams.

Also, I get a lot of my ideas when I shower. :tehe: I don't know why, really.

  • I wrote Keraunophobia because I was obsessed with the idea of creating characters with child-like characters for ages... and fancied trying my hand at fluff.

I wrote Transylvania because my freind and I were listening to the song of the same name by McFly and she said I should transcribe it into a story for my english assignment. It became way too long to hand in. :shifty

I'm writing Ultraviolet because it's been an absolute age since I've written anything explicit, and I want to see if I can pull it off in 2nd person.

  • Because of the severe lack of Ludo bandfics, I have taken it as a task to write a songfic of sorts for the song "Topeka" TimDrew Ferrel FTW!

  • For me, with or without personal experience, I can write them. But it sounds kind of off for without experience. But even with personal experience, I will change them a little bit.

  • I started Fling because the idea of an infidelity story had been playing on my mind, I just couldn't think of what setting. I decided on.. well, the plot for Fling. :shifty

And The Pain I've Grown To Know was because I wanted to write about a shooting. I hate this story, to be honest; I should have put a lot more detail into everything that happened. It's rushed.

With Butterfly I wanted to see if I could write a decent one-shot, and I'd wanted to write about somebody committing suicide for a while. I think about turning it into a full story sometimes. It may happen.

  • I started Blueblood after discovering the 69 Eyes' song Lost Boys and watching the movie the song is based on. It just kinda slapped me in the face, in a way.

Candid Celluloid came to me one lunchtime when I was filming my friends at school, I believe.

I had an idea for a Dani Filth fic, that I started but ended up deleting, after I'd been reading synopses on the movie Cradle of Fear.

Cutthroat came from a conversation with one of my best friends Gaby; she was throwing funny ideas at me for the ending of Blueblood.

I have a Nymphetamine songfic on LiveJournal that I first came up with at nine-thirty at night, after listening to the song. It's spawned a possible series of oneshots based on Cradle of Filth songs.

Bleeder was written in class for a creative writing task. I'd suggested to the teacher that we do a lesson involving prompt words, and the whole class went off at me because I'm the only one who enjoys creative writing. I wrote it because, in a way, it was a portrayal of what I was feeling at the time, laced with a bit of sick romance.

  • Misunderstanding is the place I get almost all my inspiration from. :] I know it sounds weird, but if I hear someone say something ordinary, and I hear it as something else becasue I have shite hearing ...its that kind of thing that makes my stories. :] I just imagine alot - like the other day I saw a boy walking along the grassy bit of the motorway after school, as I was coming home on the bus, and I just started thinking about where he was going and why he was on the motorway ...it turned into a one shot. I do get inspiration from lyrics, but again, I'll only write them down if I get inspiration from their misunderstanding, other wise it feels like stealing to me. :]
    I'm sorry. I like to ramble. x]

  • I'm working on a story called S/he.
I came about writing it because of the lines "mad as a hatter, you're thin as a dime".
I was walking around my house singing it and decided to write a story inspired by it.
Originally I was going to write an eating disorder story, but it seemed too simple/cliche/easy, so I decided to focus more on the first part and have the second part just kind of drifting. I like it.

  • I'm writing Then Comes a new Story because I wanted another Potter-ish adventure that revolves around a whole new batch of characters.

So I wrote one for myself. :shifty

I could say that most of the time I write for myself, and for my imagination's sake.
I write about anything my mind wildly creates.

  • I write what I want to read, but I don't realize it until I'm already writing it and then suddenly I want to read stories just like the one I'm writing.

    Here, here. :tehe:

I write about what I want to read and/or what I want to see in a movie.

  • I get most of my inspiration from movies.
Either that or other stories I've read.

But, I've always wanted to write a story based upon 27 Dresses.
I think it'd be pretty cute.

  • I got inspired to write my current oneshot on the drive home from my relatives last night, seeing all the boarded up houses on Aston Hill.

I also get inspiration to write when I go to gigs.

  • It honestly does depend. Most of my stories either come from personal experiences, a story about someone else, oh a recently lyrics from songs. But most of the time my ideas are completely random and there always seems to be a twist to the stories [the newer ones] which I think is fun, lol

EDIT: also if anyone heard of the Baby P case in Britain I got an idea from that. Although it completely broke my heart to write it.

  • Mostly personal experience, songs and sometimes from the dreams I had.
