I live in a small town in Lancashire, tis in England. It's lovely. It's in the north west though so, obviosuly, it hasn't stopped raining since 1963.

I was actually born in Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland. Gorgeous place. It being Ireland and Tipperary, it is very, very green.

I'm actually shocked by the amount of negativity directed towards England in this thread, I may be Irish but I live in England and I don't see how people can possibly have so many bad things to say about it. England is lovely and built on great foundations.

I love England, I love waking up in the morning and swtiching on the tv to hear the newsreader announce in one sentence ' It is going to rain today, we are officially in recession and we are all doomed'. Such British cynasism they display on the news.

I think it does take a British person or someone of Britsh ancestory to understand this country, as Disturbia said, it can be awfully depressing at first glance and for a while after that.

It's the media that brings this country down, I've never seen ones like it, they're like hounds.

Bay Area baby, lol. I live in Foster City, San Mateo county. Located about southeast from San Francisco. My hometown's fairly small, very safe, and the ideal place for raising a family so it's pretty suburban I guess I should call it.

As far as I know, there's only 4 elementary schools (3 public, 1 private), only one middle school (public, and the one I'm currently attending), and no high schools. Because we don't have any high schools in my hometown, students usually attend the schools available just outside the city.

My hometown's okay, I guess. But I'm sticking to my plan to attend UC Irvine way down in SoCal once I graduated high school and stuff.

I'm from a small town (less then 300 hundred people in population) on Mid north coast, NSW, australia.

I live on a property of 11.5 acres in and old house that is the oldest in the town, its age being 120 years old, give or TAKE.

I live 9kms from the beach. We have one local store in my town that serves as a Genral store and a post office.

They closest shoping mall from me is 1.5 hours drive from me at a town called Coffs harbour.

I like my town due to how quite it is but hate being the only person like me that lives here.

Gossip travels extreamly fast which annoys me as well.

But all in all, I guess its okay.

I was born in a tiny town in Russia, where my grandparents, father, and basically the whole paternal side of my family was born. :tehe:

It's shit small. But alot of shops. Alot. My aunt moved like ten minutes away from my grandparents, that's how small it is. I don't really like it because there's drunk people everywhere at night, and there's so many stray cats and dogs, omg. You can get beat up any second and you can get raped so fast. omgno:

But the plus side is that the old people are really nice, though some are physco. And there's a really nice bazaar. And there's little kiosks everywhere where you can buy chips and soda and sunflower seeds anytime you want. :tehe:

But now I live in Toronto, Canada. It's shit cold, it's over populated, and my school is the worst place to get a learning. Kids have scraps like every week, and it's practically crawling with gangsters and whores who like to beat each other up for fun. My neighborhood is okay, since it's mainly asian and nothing happens in it. :tehe:

If I could choose, I would rather live where I am right now because there's a lesser chance of getting mugged/raped/bitten by a rabid animal, etc. :file:

My original hometown, I used to hate. But now that I've left, I love it. Whenever I visit my Mum, I never want to leave.

I'm in Austalia, ACT. Canberra's not too bad, I guess. It's just...really annoying at times.

I live a half hour away from Garry Way. above but in a different suburb. :cute: My suburb is pretty crap, and some people are actually scared of it because we had the Rebels motorcycle club headquarters in our suburb a few years ago. :file: I think it's just a bad area, every night the Police's helicopter flies over our roof, and every day on the news there seems to be another local kid that barely escaped from being kidnapped, but it's still where my home is, so it's normal to me. I can't sleep without hearing that chopper fly overhead actually. :XD

    Mine is relativley small.

I guess I like it, a lot of people would describe it as, "cute", I guess (At least my friends from other towns do).

There's basically all of the shops, restaurants, and libraries on main street, then a few parks and sports fields aroung the border of the town. We're famous for getting TPed really bad on mischeif night.

My hometown is amazing. There's alot of free space and I live in the country so I can ride my horse to the gast station to get BBQ sunflower seeds and Cherry Coke.

We have malls around so there's cool shops and awesome bookstores We have, like, two Starbucks in the town right beside mine, so we can run up there for a coffee. We have a theatre nearby, but where I live there's horses and cows all over and just a real sense of peace.

    I love it!

My town is getting bigger. I grew up here and there are thousands of people here, about twenty pubs and bars, a few clubs that no one goes to because they're terrible, and a lot of greenery floating about.

It's mainly filled with commuters. It's a great place to be when you're a little younger but now it's a little dull. Thankfully I don't live here anymore!

Well, I wouldn't really call it my hometown, as it is a village.
I suppose it's alright, it is pretty minute though. There really isn't much to do unless you're interested in GAA - that's hurling if you're confused, an Irish sport. A few shops, church, school post office, pub(s) and hairdressers.
So there you go, the reason behind the lack of socialising in Amie's life.

    :lmfao I concur.

My village is pretty dull now. It's apparently expanding so much because so many people want to live here. I can't really see why, but I guess it's because it's one of the nicest suburbs of our city. However, now it's just infested with houses and estates. There's probably two parks, a few newsagents & estate agents and corner shops, 4 primary schools and one beast of a secondary school (my school) and that's about as interesting as it gets.
