And you're right by the way, the double consonant, makes the the vowel short. Thusly- Mih-buh.
In Croatian i=ee :file: Forget English phonetic rules.
    xXGreyWingsXx:
It's mi-buh but with a silent 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' on the end. XD
I think this is the most correct response in this entire thread. :lmfao

Anyways, if you're really confused, you can always just pronounce Mibba "database error" and that will cover it. :shifty

My friends and I always pronounce it Mib-uh. We had this argument and decided that we would just say Mib-uh.

I have now started pronouncing it "mee-buh".

It sounds so much cuter! Like a little fuzzy creature you really want to pet.

Meebah... It sounds the way ET would pronounce it. Or Sticth. Or some other adorable space alien... [/weirdness]

The true pronunciation is and always will be "boysecks" ~~

Everyone I've literally talked to pronounces it "Mih-buh" and that's how I've always said it. I don't really care if it's wrong or right. -shrug-

    My friend says Mee-Buh
    :tehe:
First time she mentioned out loud to me I was like "You say it like that too?"
I just thought of this thread :XD
It sounds nicer if you say it out loud that way, but I can't stop pronouncing it Mih-Buh when I'm speaking. :tehe:

:D Well it might sound stupid but to me neither "Mee-bah" nor "Mii-bah" sound dfferently. Maybe cuz in German there is just one way of saying it? :XD I just pronounce the first part "Mi" really quickly.

okay, i'm gunna try not to sould like a total geek here. grammatically, it should be mi-buh, simply because there are two b's. if it were spelled miba, it would be mee-buh. i think mee-buh sounds better though, lol, so that's how i pronounce it :)
