I didn't see this posted anywhere, so excuse me if it has already been posted.

I need some help with my layout, the folowoing was done for me so I have no idea how to do this. I'm trying to have a link with my characters.

Andreas Blackwood | Lily Martins | Oliver Queen | Roy Harper

Each name you click on will lead you to a photo of that character. Can anyone show me how to do this?

To link you need to use the bbcode. So you'd put [url=linkgoeshere]Oliver Queen[/url] and just paste the link to the image there instead. If you've done it right then it should end up looking like this.

i'm not receiving emails to my email acct about stories that i have subscribed to being updated. i checked both my trash and junk files, why am i not getting the emails?

I have a question.... It's not letting me message a user.... I can message other users, but this one user it's not letting me comment on their stories, or send them messages, but it's allowing me to read the stories.... What's going on?

Can you check under your settings to make sure that you've got them activated? If you go to My Mibba > Hover over 'Profile' on the green/blue bar > Notifications > Ensure that the Story Subscription box has a tick in it. If not, then tick it and they'll start coming through. I've had one in the past day, so the system is definitely working.

How many times have you tried? It's strange that it isn't letting you message just one user. If you've tried it multiple times, I'd suggest logging out, clearing cache and cookies on your browser and then log in and try again. That's a strange one though.

Help! I have subscribed to quite a few stories and used to get email notifications but they suddenly stopped in September and I don't know why. I haven't changed email addresses or anything like that. Also, I don't get emails for comments and alerts either. Any advice?

The first thing I'd suggest is checking that the alerts haven't magically turned themselves off during one of Mibba's crazy fits. If you go to My Mibba > Hover over 'Profile' on the green/blue bar > Notifications, then that'll take you into the email notifications bar. Make sure that there's ticks in anything you want to receive. Aside from that, I have absolutely no other idea.

I think the emails themselves are working because I'm receiving some for stories I'm subscribed to, unless it's maybe an error that's just affecting a select amount of users? I'm not sure, I stopped questioning how Mibba does things years ago.

Thanks for the advice. I followed what you suggested and everything seemed to be in order. However, I re-ticked everything and re-saved them all. I even logged out and then logged back in. I now await updates to subscribed stories to see if this has worked. I'll let you know. Thanks again!

Update on my earlier reply. Unfortunately, your advice didn't work, but thanks for trying anyway. I'm back to square one now, so if you could suggest some other things for me to try I'd be really grateful. If you can't, don't worry. Thanks again. Xxx

Not exactly the same issue but I have some stories I'm subscribed to and get email notifications but do not appear on my subscription list. It might be an issue with the subscription function, I'm not sure, but what I do recommend is that you unsubscribe from the stories it's affecting (obviously save the stories somehow - by name, in a bookmark, etc.), give it a while and then resubscribe to them. It might help with some, if not all, hopefully!

Yeah, there must be something up with the Subscriptions system then. I'd maybe try what Kayleigh suggested, and for what it's worth, maybe it might be an idea to clear your cache and cookies and re-subscribe to the stories? I doubt it'll do anything of massive change, but it might be worth a go? I have no more ideas aside from that!

I think it's possibly an issue that's only affecting certain users. I'm still receiving through subscription emails (I received one a few days ago for a story I'm subscribed to) but I've heard a few people saying they aren't. The only thing I can think of suggesting is what's been suggested above -- clear your cache / cookies and then unsubscribe / re-subscribe to the stories to see if it makes a difference.

I have this issue too. Although, I just checked the email that's linked to my account and I get random email notifications - back in March I got email alerts for two stories, and then for some threads I'm subscribed to, and also for a profile comment. However, I got a profile comment today and didn't receive an email. Most of the stories I'm subscribed to don't send me emails when they're updated, but I always check my subscription tab anyway so it doesn't bother me too much. Unsubscribing/re-subscribing doesn't fix it for me either. I think it's an issue only affecting some of us, or maybe it happens when a user subscribes to a certain amount of stories.

What e-mail provider do you use? There was an issue awhile back with Hotmail (Windows Live, etc.) blocking Mibba's e-mails as spam. Since there's a lot of automatic emails sent out by Mibba, sometimes providers think we're spam and block us - and then Dujo has to go fight them about it.

I do use Hotmail. It's not even in my spam though as I check my spam folder daily as well.

That's probably the issue. At the time, Hotmail wasn't accepting Mibba mails at all. (It wouldn't even make it to your spam box at all.)

Since only Dujo can fix that stuff with the e-mail providers, I'd suggest signing up for a gmail account (which is free) and then setting that as your Mibba e-mail.

Okay rather than make a thread about it, I thought I might post here and see if anyone else has this problem. So, when go to make a new blog layout and I save it then I go see if everything looks right (this is why we need the preview in the layout maker! >w<), I find that the layout sort of messes itself up? Like if i place the content box transparent (with only a picture showing on the right on it) the background color becomes visible... Is there anyway to fix that? And also in any of parts, the left option in the margins keeps being unchecked....

Could someone help me please.
When I add an authors note to a poem it adds it really close to the actual poem. Is there some padding in my layout that needs adjusting so it's a bit further down?
