My great great great grandfather was the last executed at the J Ward Prison and Mental Institute. He was hanged in 1884 for rape and murder. They weren't quite sure he did it but they still hanged him. He was only found over the body so that could mean anything... xD

I am related to many rebels, Rob Roy, the scottish dude. We have a lot of funny stories about his nephew.
Seth Warner, he was a geen mountain boy.
Also Leopold Eidlitz, he was the first Jewish architect in America.
My great(x30) Grandfather, Baughman Magill was weird guy. He was a confederate soldier, and a Templar Knight. He had the sword and everything.
Thomas Magill is by far my favorite weird ancestor, he was knighted by King George V, they were friends through a mutual interest in stamp collecting.

So that's my mom's family. I find it amusing that they were mostly rebels who liked to fight the government, and then there's my dads family, who is mostly the government. lmfao

My great(x3) grandfather, was a US senator, my great(x2) grandfather was the govenor of VT, and my grandfather, great-uncle, and great grandfather were all the secretary of the senate in VT.

My grandfather recently passed away, and the new secretary of the senate is taking over from three generations of Gibsons.

My great(x7) uncle (or grandfather, I'm not sure which) was the man who baptized Pocahontas, gave her the Christian name Rebecca and married her to John Rolfe.

I'm related to a woman that was tried as a witch in the Salem Witch Trials, and found guilty. She wasn't killed because it was right at the tail end of it, but we've got all the transcripts and such of it. It's kind of cool, to me. tehe

My mother's side can be traced back to the Brandenburg Gates in Germany, and Brandenburg was my great grandmother's name. We were related to the royal family that lived there or something. Think

According to my dad, we're related to Ross and Norris McWhirter, which is pretty neat.

And my aunt through marriage claims to be related to Eva "Evita" Perón, but I'd take that with a grain of salt - this aunt's not exactly known for her honesty.

(Plus, my granddad used to do movie work, and met Jack Nicholson. And some other people. But more importantly, Jack Nicholson!)

I'm not sure, but there's two rumors in my family - Ned Kelly and Jesse James.
    :XD
WHOA! Jesse James?! Gosh, you're lucky.

Me? I'm just related to white trash. XD My Nana (grandmother) is also pretty sure that we have a lot of criminals in our family. We can't really trace our roots back that far, because frankly, nobody in my family seems to care about where we're from. XD All I know is that, on my dad's side, his mother's grandfather came from Italy to Canada, and then my grandma moved to America. That and the white trash on my mother's side. (Let's not get into that, 'ight?)

Such a lovely family I have, huh?

According to my uncle on my mom's side, who spent most of his life gathering together and documenting out family tree, I'm a direct descendant of William The Conqueror.

Also Zachariah Rhodes, one of the earlier immigrants to America back when it was still a series British colonies. He was one of the founders of Rhode Island, and was thrown in jail at one point for refusing to pay a toll that the local church placed on a bridge, he firmly stated that: "The church has not to do with matters of state!"
