"A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess is probably my favorite book. I absolutley love it and can just read it over and over and over again. Kubrick's movie version of it is great, too, but I prefer the book over the movie, personally.

    Anyone else a fan?

I saw the movie for the first time this summer when my brother was home from college. I was bored so he handed me the DVD and told me to go watch it - that it was my type of movie.
So I watched it and absolutley LOVED it. It was an amazing movie. I'll probably get the book and read it some time soon.

I haven't seen the movie, but I adore the boo.
I've had to use a dictionary though, because I keep forgetting the slang.

I read the book last year and started to watch the movie yesterday but my mother freaked out when she came downstairs and saw that my younger brother was watching it too. It was midnight or something so she freaked out and unplugged the TV just as Alex got arrested :cheese:

I'm desperate to see the rest of it though. They look so much older in the movie though.

I've never seen the movie, but I've seen pictures. In one of the My Chem pictures, I think Gerard's dressed as one of the guys from the movie. Does anyone know? Just wondering...

I hope I can see the movie soon. I'll put it on my list to watch. I've got a lot on there...

I noticed that, too. They look like they're about 25 vs. 15.

I've been wanting to see this for a while and now my mom's finally letting me rent it.
She wants to watch it with me though...hope it's not awkward or anything.
There will be a couple of awkward parts if your mum is anything like mine. Rape wise etc

That book was my one of my favourites until I read a book by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
Anyways, I loved it 'cause it was so realistic and true.
I haven't seen the movie but it's gotta be awesome since Kubrick's the director.

I loved the book. I've read it so many times I don't even remember the count. But I'll do it again soon. It's just one of those books, you know? The ones you can not stop reading.

I'd love to see the movie as well, but haven't still.

Yeah...MCR got the idea from the book/movie. They were all dressed up like the guys, Gerard was dressed up as Alex.
Rob Zombie's also based stuff off A Clockwork Orange. shows how good it is.

I wish I'd read it. I made it partway through the first chapter and quit because I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Sad

The first time you read it, it does sound like gibberish for the first few pages. At least it did for me, but then I caught on and liked it a lot.
