I tend to do both. Recently, it's been paper, though. I haven't been writing in a while and I've just started something, which I happened to start in my notebook. It also helps me to be able to carry my writing around, since I kinda write one word at a time. I also like to write in strange places like the car, before bed, on a fence, etc. I also get distracted when I'm at the computer...

Yet, at the computer, I find I can write more than one word at a time, because the words flow so freely from my mind to my hands. Still, I end up thinking faster than I can type. And my fingers start to hurt. I really dislike taking everything I write and typing it up, though. Typing really helps me to get unstuck because I can ramble a whole lot without wasting paper or lead or ink having to erase a whole bunch. And my handwriting. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I can't stand it.

A lot of the stuff I write, like my poetry, happens in math. I get so beyond bored. Maybe when I get finally get my laptop, I'll be able write wherever I want... like in a tree...

So far I only write out one story of mine. And I do it so I can have one full chapter on one page of notebook paper, but it still be around five pages in Word. I have a special eco-friendly technique of traditional writing. Though I write usually on paper, there are a few stories in the past where I had to type them out instead of writing. It's more of the atmospher and the amount of love I put into the stories. When I write on paper I can take my story anywhere, which beats waiting until I get home to work on it.

For some odd reason, my writing turns out better that way.

    Computer.

There are times when I sit myself down to write & I just can't do it.
I'll write two or three pages on paper and it just doesn't seem right to me.
When I use the computer, I'm able to get all the words and junk out of my head faster.
That way I don't forget all the details and descriptions that come to me.

I handwrite everything first. That's why it takes me so long to get stories on here. I have to write them out on paper and get them how I like them before I ever even look at a keyboard. Also I prefer to completely finish a story before I type it or post it anywhere, unless it is really long.

I scribble ideas on paper when I have no computer around, but if there is a computer, then I peck it out on the keyboard.

Of course with the layout for my new story you get both. :XD

I write most of my oneshots in a notebook first, because I often write at school, then I edit them when I type them up.

But seeing as we're on holidays at the moment, I've been writing my oneshots and a possible upcoming fic on Word. I've been writing a few songfics lately, and I've found it's much easier for me to type them, because I have a lyrics page open in the background if I need it.

I usually write on the computer but I think I write better on paper.
I have written loads through MS Word and all of them wasn't really that appreciated.
Unlike the only one-shot I have written on paper while I was at school, it got the most comments (considering it was only a one-shot).

So I think maybe it will be better for me if I consider writing everything on paper first.

Me too. I think it's because my thoughts flow quicker, and I can capture them faster.

Plus, I have really bad handwriting, and I can't do it that well. :shifty

    The computer for sure.

It's a lot easier for me to correct my mistakes instead of crossing things out all the time and it's just faster. And then if I write it on paper I have to type it on the computer and I don't like doing that.

Sometimes I change sentences mutiple times until it flows with the story. I also have all my music on my computer which I listen to while writing my stories.

    Paper definitely.

When I'm on the computer, and I try to get an idea out, I always get the biggest writers block and just stare at the blinking cursor or I get distracted by everything else.
That doesn't happen if I write it down in a notebook, and I can draw the characters in the story and describe them better.

I prefer Computer, because it is less work.

But if I'm at school and I get an idea for one of my stories for what to happen in the next chapter, I take out paper and start writing. It never really turns out great, but I edit it and it turns out fine. :]

I prefer paper to a computer. When I sit at a computer and try to write, nothing comes out, and if it does it usually sucks.

All of the stories I started writing out on paper actually turned to be the ones people liked the most.
And I also like that I can draw arrows to things or circle or write little notes on the side of the paper. Also I can edit or change little things when transferring it to a computer.

Plus my dad is a computer wiz. He can find the files I save, not the papers I hide.

Computer, my handwriting is dreadful and being left handed and writing over long period of time kills my wrist, though I have to say when I'm writing on paper I tend to be loose with my writing and can come up with interesting ideas...

I had to write an update on paper once because our computer didn't work at a time and it was so painful and difficult [or that's what it felt like]
So I definitely prefer writing on computer:tehe: It's so much easier

I always write it out on paper first. Mostly because I carry my "Story Binder" with me anywhere I go, but also because I like to doodle and stuff, otherwise it feels like work and then I get bored.

Computer. Writing on paper pretty much murders my wrist, and I always seem to write a lot less in a notebook or something. I'm a really impatient person, so if I don't go fast, then I tend to just ... skip over stuff, and it's all just very bad.

paper, I'm not very trusting of computers, you see a few years back I was writing a romance/anst story, I think it was one of my best. but then sadly I lost that story my poetry all my photogrphy and my songs, so know it stays outside the computer on paper or on a memory card.
