    Yeah I did...

Yes they are worth reading, the books are the reason I watch the show.
They're really good, and I don't read a lot so that means something coming from me. If you look at the past couple of pages on this thread, I have the books listed with some links.
Oh, okay. Cool. I'll check them out. :)

Update: I bought the first book today. :XD Might start reading it later.

I've nearly finished watching the first season now. Starting reading the first book, too. :tehe: Hopefully I'll catch up soon(ish).
I put a picture of Bill on my wall last night. :XD Haha. It was from a magazine.

Sorry for the double post, but there was a True Blood advert on TV last night. I kind of freaked out.
True Blood's going to be aired in the UK! I'm so happy. Although it's only on FX for now and I think that's only on Sky, but later this year it's coming to Channel 4. :weird

so to me, true blood seems to be a knock-off of moonlight, just with southerners haha.
i've never watched it, never will. i remain faithful to mick. it just seems to me all the tv channels are just making spin-offs of better ones.

^ That really isn't true. I've seen both shows, and although I prefer True Blood, I'm not biased in saying that they are completely different.
Firstly, it couldn't be a 'spin off' show because it's based off a series of books. It's also set in a time where vampires have 'come out of the closet' and Japan has developed synthetic blood (Tru Blood) for them to drink.

It's just absolutely nothing like Moonlight. I don't think it's fair to say that just because they're both about vampires.

Why not give it a go? I did, even when I used to think it was stupid. I regret waiting so long to properly check it out. :weird
Anyway, the way I see it is the more vampire shows the better. You can have a favourite, but it's not like you're only allowed to watch one. :XD

I'm in England so they're literally only just about to start first series over here. But over the last week or so I said a great big fuck you to British Tv and I'm now up to date with the last released episode of the second season. Boo-fucking-yah, if I don't say so myself.P.S. Am I the only one who thinks Sam's a tiny bit cute?

^ Yeah, I know right?! I'm pretty much up to date. :XD I need to watch the fourth episode of the second season though.

I'll watch it though when it comes on Channel 4 later this year, just because it'll be awesome actually seeing it on the screen. And also because I don't have FX.You're not the only one. ~~ :tehe:

Sam reminds me of a dog.
    A HOT DOG.
    :tehe:

I watched Moonlight and Buffy and the like, and I have to say this one is original, too. Or, well, as far as vampires go now. It's different and it's fun, and very much enjoyable. I don't think it's a "spin off", 'cause, as Lestat noted, it's actually from a book series. Which my mom will be reading soon. :XD

I bought season one on DVD and my mom was reading the episode descriptions, found it interesting, so she wanted to watch it, and she wanted me to watch it with her.

I forewarned her about some of the things in the movie, but yeah it was very awkward for me too.

The sex scenes are definitely awkward to watch around parents. Funny thing is, it seems that whenever there's a sex scene, one of my parents walks by. I just sit there and act casual, like there aren't two people graphically going at it on the screen. :XD

I just got caught up on all the new episodes, and I still love this show. I love how there are all these little mysteries wrapped up in the normal drama. In Love

^ Are you sure? I watch it on this website.

:brightside: How did I miss that this thread was alive again?!

I'm still plowing through the first book. It gets better and better. I just got to Fangtasia. :XD

I agree about the sex scenes... I try to avoid talking about the show to my parents incase they get interested in watching it. :XD I still need to get the DVD for the first season actually. It's not released yet on Amazon, is it? In the UK, I mean.
