I like being the oldest (sometimes), but certainly not because of the treatment from the parents.
They don't treat me like my age...sometimes they treat me more like my brother's age (13). Which sucks so much...

It's annoying because I have to ''pave the way'' and break my parents down myself. I don't have any help from an older sibling who has experienced it and can help gang up on my parents. I stand alone.
    :lmfao

But I guess it's okay most the time. I'll be the one my younger siblings will have to live up too. Or say I've been told. I don't want them to feel like they have to though, we're all our own person and are all very different. I love that about my family.

I'm the eldest of two. I don't mind being the eldest, cause I get to eperience thing first.

Though the downfall of me being the eldest is that I was the practice baby. Stupid parents and not knowing how to care/tend to babies.

Oldest of three. Has it's perks and it's downsides, just like anything else.

Oldest of 3. It's kinda cool, my mom expects me to be really independent, and I am. My sister's 9 and my brothers 11. I never had that many rules as a younger child. It taught me disiplin. But now my brother has rules, and he's always striving to break them.

I'm the eldest out of three kids. I'm 16 (you knew that), my half brother is 4 and my half sister is 2. Big age difference, yeah. So basically, since they were born, I've been more like a babysitter to my mum than her daughter. Like, she treats me like an employee.

And now I've moved to my dads, she only wants to see me when she needs someone to look after the kids. I love my mother but... I don't think she feels the same way Sad

I miss being an only child. I was a lot less stressed back then. :file:

Parents are too overprotective when you're their first child. It's good but sometimes very, very annoying..

    I'm the older of 2.

    Meh, I hate it.
They're so overprotective of me, and let my sister get away with anything.

And with food its always "She's little, let her go first because there will still be some left for you" but she goes through and picks out all the good bits.

But I suppose it has it's advantages. She gets called my name by teachers :lmfao

:lmfao My sister had her Year 7 day a few weeks ago and she came home and yelled at me because 5 teachers asked her if she was my sister. :con:

Your parents are overprotective of you?
Man... I wish my mum was like that. Seriously.
It's like "You've moved to your Dad's. That means you're an adult now. You can do your own shit. I don't really care."

I guess Dad is protective of me. I'm his only kid.

Being the oldest carries tons of responisibility.
It's pretty hard when your siblings ignore all the good things you do,
but follow all your bad examples.
It's even worse when you get blamed for it.
    But all in all,
    it's pretty great.
I just wish to have an older sibling sometime.

I'm the oldest out of my mum's lot.

So I get most of the responsability, I not sure about any pros 'cause the other two are way more spoiled. Disgust

    I'm the oldest of three.
I hate that if something in the house goes wrong, it points to me.
    "She's the oldest, she done."
They always believe, Anthony, the youngest, when he says that.

    I hate being the oldest.
I constantly get the blame for everything, because my little sister is oh so fragile.

I used to get punished a lot when I was my sisters age, but it seems that they are so stressed and over it that my sister gets away with everything I never could have gotten away with. It's like, I do bad things, they punish me, that's it. She grows older, does the same things but doesn't get as badly punished.

My little sister used to beat me up, but did she get in trouble? No, because she's the youngest, and obviously her punching my doesn't hurt. But if I touch her back?

Ugh. I hate being the oldest.

I agree with you there. It would be a hell of a lot easier without as many responsibilities and not having to be the 'test' child. :grr: Though, I feel as though I'm quite mature and feel older than what I am, whereas when my sister is my age, I think she won't really know how to deal with some of the conflicts that will come. It'll be another responsibility as I know she'll probably come to me before she goes to mum or dad but at least I'll be able to try and help her before my parents get in. :XD

I get to constantly remind my sister that I'm the oldest. She gets very annoyed over it. :con:

I actually am quite fond of being the eldest. I like a lot of the responsibility. As odd as it sounds, I'm a really nurturing person, and I like taking care of my sister.

    I'm older sibling of my brother. I'm 15 and he's 13.

I don't think my brother could handle being the older sibling. I go through things first before my brother to check to make sure he could handle it. And I'm always looking out for him whether he wants me to or not. I've saved him from maimed and having a near death experience so I'm not stopping anytime soon.

It's kind of annoying that my sister (younger of four years) will most deff be taller than me. And she reminds me all the time.

I'm dramatically older than my siblings.
My brother is almost eight and my sister is five.

    They're annoying. :tehe:
