I don't think I've really lost interest in writing, so to speak, but it's just... God, I don't know. I've just lost... it. I can think of ideas galore but when it actually gets to writing it down I just stare at that blank page/screen and think '...what?'. My mind just goes blank. And then I realise I haven't updated stories for months and months and I feel terrible and then I my concentration on my writing gets even worse because I'm racking my brain and then forcing a rubbish chapter out.

I never lost interest but I haven't written really anything since the beginning of the year. I think it was all of senior year stress, and then my mom got sick, then I had graduation and all that 'fun', then my grandfather passed away. I feel like I never had the time, or was in the right mindset to write. I couldn't concentrate to form a flipping sentence. But now I'm starting back up, since around the middle of September. I never stopped coming up with ideas or planning them out, I just lacked the 'oomph' to get them going.

I don't think I lose interesting in writing itself, but I'll get so ahead of myself with new ideas that I'll lose passion for older stories and not want to write them as much as I want to start new ones. It's a problem xD

This is what happens to me. I don't really lose interest in my older stories, I just don't have the time to update them consistently, which is one of the reasons I write mostly oneshots XD

I'm having this problem write now. For the past few weeks, it has felt nearly impossible to write and everything I write I end up hating. I would just take a break from writing all together, but I have co-authors who are counting on me and I hate letting them down.

I haven't written more than 10,000 words in over a year, story wise.

I have a few ideas and chapters saved right now but I've completely lost interest in writing. If I wasn't so attached to the site I would have deactivated my account months ago.

This so much. I can't even remember the last time I sat down and enjoyed writing something. Cry

For me, I heavily use writing as a way to cope, and my stories tend to reflect some of the things I'm missing in my own life. The Fire Under His Skin is the textbook example of that. I love the way thinking up these great alternate worlds feels when I need it, like how it somehow fills in those voids for a bit, but I don't think I've ever really written anything just for the sake and pure enjoyment of writing. When I'm not writing, it usually means that everything is okay in my life. So long story short, I do lose interest in writing, but maybe not in the way most people would think? I dunno. Does anyone get what I'm saying?

I occassionally lose interest in writing for a little bit but that's only when I've hit a snag with my stories (Writer's block), but I still kinda write a little to ger "something" out. Eventually I pick up writing again and just let the words and ideas flow.

I don't think I ever lost my interest in writing but more of my confidence in my writing. A lot of things were going on for me and I would look at what I was writing and I hated it. I used to read books and other stories and think "Why can't I write something beautiful like this?." Idk I just always go though these "my writing sucks" phases.
