My dogs already had their names :x but I got to name my first kitten and chose Nia because I wanted something that sounded nice and unique , too. The stray cat we took in is named Puff. She's chubby, puffy and I thought she was a dude at first so, for some reason, I immediately said Big Poppa Puff

    hengstin.:
Oreo (rabbit) got her name because she's black and white, and my sister was 10, so she didn't have a huge imagination for naming. Regis (dog) is just the name Mom thought fit him best when she first saw him. Topaz (cat) was named such because it's what kept shouting itself in my head when we decided to adopt her.

Edit: As of January 23, 2017, we no longer have a rabbit. Cry
Can now add Esmeralda to the list: Mom couldn't decide between Sapphira or Emmi, and when I told her Emmi was the better option because it's as short as the kitten was tiny, we had to figure out a "full" first name for her. We settled on Esmeralda (meaning "emerald") and she's now our second birthstone cat – we just need one to coincide with my sister's December birthstone (turquoise). (Topaz is "my" cat, and Emmi is "my sister"'s cat, because that's whose room they live in and are most connected to.)

I do have a Corgi dog and his name is Khouji. This summer, I got her one of these cooling dog beds so that she will feel cool and comfortable for the rest of the season. :)
