I got this definition from Urban Dictionary:

A type of fanfiction (or original fiction) that is intentionally unbelievable and insane; often humorous. Usually short, one-shot stories.

What are your opinions on crackfics?
    Do you enjoy writing/reading them?
    What makes a good/bad crackfic?

I have one story that could be considered a crackfic, though it's chaptered.

    I really love those.
    Especially the murder-humor ones.

I never knew it had a term, though.
I just know whenever I wanted back my style of writing/an experimental
piece, it'd just be a crazy, thrown around story that really made no sense
to anybody or me, for the most part. Unless I'm getting the description wrong.

    Interesting.

    Crack!fic can be so amazing.
The thing that really makes or breaks it is how it's approached.
If you approach it as something that you don't really need to try on because it's crack!fic, then it will suck.
But if you try, then it can be really good.
My biggest crack!fic is probably Apples and Porcupines (Neither of Which Has to Do With This Story). It's Green Day and it's just... stupid.

I could never write crackfic, but I love reading it. I found this really hilarious one once where it Gerard, Bert, and some other dude (I don't remember who anymore) were all on Jepordy. Bert went all insane and stuff, and it was just... lol.

    I love crackfics!
I could never write them myself, but I find them oh so amusing.
There was this like, series of crackfics on Quizilla I liked back in the day.
They were bands on Jerry Springer. They were awesome, because they always ended up getting into big fights, using their instruments and whatnot.
There was MCR vs. Marilyn Manson, MCR vs. The Used, and Sonny Moore vs. FFTL.
    They were awesomesauce

I've read one crackfic (that I could identify :shifty) and I pretty much adored it. It was a Death Note fic and it was... just weird and awesome. :lmfao It had most of the main cast surrounded in an island due to their plane crashing and they were coming back from some villian (or something) award show >_>

I'm probably gonna try writing one sooner or later :shifty though I doubt I can write humor >_>

Lame attempts at humor make for bad crack. The try hard ones.

The good ones are the ones that you can't really see happening, but they write it so well they have you believing the stupid scenario :XD

I love them, and I love to read them in original fiction. I can't write them worth anything, though.

I read this one story (A jonas brother fic.) and I'm not sure if it was a crackfic or not, I don't think it was supposed to be but it was completely unbelievable and hard to follow. The topic got me thinking, I want to write crackfic now! I'm pretty sure I have a couple un-used outlines that would turn into crackfic. Someone should make a crackfic contest, or maybe I will...

    I love crackfics.
I love the Harry Potter ones. I remember there was one after HBP and all the character shad to be interviewed on how they felt about what J.K. did to them. I was crying by the end.
    I couldn't write them, I would love to but I can't.
I've read Batman & Joker one though. It made me :tehe:

What are your opinions on crackfics?
    Crackfics are my vice, man

    Do you enjoy writing/reading them?
    Yes/Yes, but I suck

    What makes a good/bad crackfic?
Good writing is an absolute must. Making boys behaving like teenage girls, unless that's the point, but if you're going to do that; better make them wear a dress with high heels, too then. Crackfics require careful characterization just as much.

Clever one-liners most def. essential. And descriptions, too. I wanna picuture the character being crack-like.

I once read a Waycest crackfic, it was a AIM info and amazingly, it was quite good. It was short and bad grammar (AIM convos never have perfect grammar) but when I think of crack; I think of that fic. Shifty

I think the closest I came to a Crackfic was a oneshot where Peter and Nathan Petrelli was having a good time and Peter's "wang" exploded :lmfao

    From the Doctor, of course!
