    Deja Vu
–noun 1. Psychology. the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time.
    2. disagreeable familiarity or sameness: The new television season had a sense of déjà vu about it—the same old plots and characters with new names.

Deja vu used to be just something I'd feel once in a while. But now I'm getting it every day, all the time. It feels more like I'm living the same days over and over again. It's usually either a question someone asks, something I hear, or some impossibly small detail such as a drawing on the desk. It's getting really annoying. Apparantly it could be linked to anxiety, but I really don't know. Does anyone know something about it?

That's strange. It's pretty rare for me. But it's such a strange feeling...I don't understand, I would really like to though. How can you feel like you've been/done/heard something before when it's the first time? So strange.

I have this feeling alot actually. I will be somewhere but I will have this overwhelming feeling that I have been there before and it would be my first time there. It's completley overwhelming when it happens. It's insanely hard to explain though. I'll like hear something or see something that is very distinct in my mind and i'm just like I've seen this before..
Yeah it's weird and I have no idea what causes it, but i know for sure that's its real.

I never actually say anything about it, I just get really dizzy and confused all of a sudden. My friends never notice because I'm always confused around them. :P

^^I don't doubt it, deja vu is extremely confusing.

Only you can know whether you're having deja vu or not, so tell them to shut it :tehe:

I wonder what actually causes deja vu...does anyone know?

    Does this count?

So I had a dream about Brendan Frasier being the cartoon character Dudley Do-Right.
I wake up, some random movie is on, whatever, I take a shower.
I come back, Dudley Do-Right is on the tv.
I'd never heard of the movie, character, or the fact that it starred Brendan Frasier.

Deja Vu actually happens quite a lot every day with me. Or even dreams or premonisitions of things happening, then them actually happening.
I don't think it's scary or anyone is weird for knowing what it is, I just think people shouldn't be scared of it.

I get deja vu a lot although I never knew what it was when I was younger, so I thought I was strange. It's like when I didn't know the word hiccough and I couldn't explain the sensation properly to anyone...

I had really bad deja vu one time when me and my mum were watching a movie about 9/11.
It was near the end of the movie and one of the planes crashed into a field. You could see it falling, like you were on it. The deja vu was so bad that I cried and started shaking after. I can't even explain it.. I never had deja vu that bad before.

Deja vu is such a peculiar feeling. It's such an overwhelming rush when I get it, but I've only had it like three times in my life.

The only major time for me, was when we went to this hotel for a dance competition. It was my first time ever going there, but once I was there... woah. I coulda sworn I'd been there so many times before. It was so strange. I like, knew where stuff was and stuff.

I know the feeling all to well... It sucks and is weird when one of your friends gives you deja vu on purpose, and you know it's not just in your head. Very weird...

It is a very odd feeling. I'm taking a psychology course this semester so I might learn something about it. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything more about it. :cute:

I get it all the time. :file:
I hate it. I mean, I hate the feeling. I tripped once. :tehe:
I was walking home one day after school, and it felt like it had happened before and just .. fell.
I hate getting that feeling. I wish I didn't have Deja Vu, it makes my head spin.

    Dunno if this actually counts...

Sometimes in dreams I'll realize I'm dreaming and think I've already dreamed the dream before when I haven't. It's weird, but it's not nearly as weird as deja vu in real life O_O.

I don't know how to explain it...cuz I have it frequently.
One day I went to a museum that before was a house, when I entered I feel that I already knew that house...I started walking in the house and knew where all the rooms and gardens were.
I told this to my mom but she said "It's just your imagination"

Well, I don't know if it's a deja vu or I really lived there in my other life but...it was creepy.

I get it a lot, like knowing you've been there before somehow even though you didn't. It happens a lot to me, seeing something in the future in a dream then it happening. It's creepy.
