Books That Made You Cry?

Well, I couldn't find a topic for this, but if this is a repeat or not allowed, then feel free to lock it.

Anyway, so I know we can cry at movies and shows pretty easily, but what about books? I'm sure some of us have cried from reading books as well.

The first book to make me shed tears was The Rainbow Boys trilogy by Alex Sanchez. I just thought everything about it was amazing and I loved all the characters so much, that when I read the end of the last book I was crying a bit. I cried a couple more times while reading some sweet and sad moments throughout the series as well.

Another book that I kind of cried at was Sharing Sam by Katherine A Applegate. The book is about a girl who shares a guy named Sam - who she likes and is somewhat dating I guess - with her best friend Izzy who is dying and she wants Izzy to be happy and to know she was loved [by a guy] before she would die. I thought it was a touching book in many ways. I wouldn't call it super amazing, but it was really good.

What about anyone else? Ever cried from a book whether it was really good and touching or maybe it was so bad it made you cry?

The Book Thief made me cry like a little bitch :shifty
for like, a half hour, at the very end.
I can't remember a book that ever made me cry like that...

The Christmas Shoes, it is so sad. Some of Breaking Dawn made me cry and so did The Host.

Blood Brother. Can't remember who it's by.

A lot of books make me cry, but I can't remember too many examples.
The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy is one, and so is Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Oh, and Harry Potter books. Especially DH, I was a complete wreck after I'd finished reading that.

Never Look Back by Lesley Pearse. I cried a lot. On every sad occasion. And the book was very emotional.
Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult. I cried at some parts.
Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. I cried at several occasions.

And lots of other books but I can't really think right now.

I can't think of loads off the top of my head, but the last one to properly make me blub was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I won't say why as it may spoil it for people who haven't read it yet, but it was on several occasions. I was so tense and emotional that I had to stop reading at some points because tears were blinding me and I couldn't hold the book still. :tehe:

Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson made me cry too. :(
And pretty much anything by Nicholas Sparks makes me cry.

Harry Potter five, six and seven. Seven was the worst, gosh.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chobsky.
I can't remember any others right now, but heaps of books have made me cry. I hardly ever cry in movies :3

Well, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton made me cry a bit, and Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony (which is #5) made me cry twice. Other books have made me cry too, but I read so many books that I can't remember which ones made me cry and which ones didn't.

Inkheart and Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.

I read this book called Puppy Patrol and it was number 25. It was so sad. It made me cry. Poor Sam.
Frostbite made me cry as well. The ending was sad with what happens to Mason.

When Hedwig died, when Dobby died, and when Fred died.

New Moon (Stephanie Meyer)
When Bella got lost in the forest and pretty much the way through untill Edward came back... The style of writing made me feel her pain with her. It hurt.
