Cry Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper.
It ended with the realization that nobody was ever going to accept her as equal, and her giving up on her peers. The whole book built up as if it were going to lead to inspiration, but it ended so sadly and unfairly. And was a children's book, so it was unexpected.

I can't list all of the books that made me cry. But the most recent one definitely had to be The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. I swear I spent most of the night after I finished it hugging my cat and bawling.

Any of the Warriors Series books when a cat died. I love cats and it just hit me hard. I cried when any of the cats got hurt and couldn't be warriors anymore and I cried when a cat had feelings for another, but I felt it should be with another.

A book that made me cry to the point of no return was When Crickets Cry, but I can't remember who it's by. Please read it, though. It's an amazing, touching book with so many plot twists.
Pretty much any John Green novel, gah.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, made me cry. I also think I cried when reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and almost cried when reading The Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows. I know there are other books but I can't remember right now. Oh, The Amber Spyglass made me cry too.

The Outsiders. It's the only book where I had tears in my eyes and this was at school so I wasn't going to cry!

The book that has made me cry, is The Notebook and Breaking Dawn. Both were truly sad when I read them and it took everything in me to keep it together, but it didn't work...
