Fast food is really expensive. I love it, I know it's bad for me, and I would probably eat it everyday if I could. But it's expensive.
Hand Girl have you not seen McDonald's new dollar menu?

    (kidding)
I haven't eaten fast food in.... months I guess, unless you count Subway. There isn't any fast food restaurants in my neighborhood, just tons of normal restaurants.

When I do get a fast food restaurant, it's usually off the dollar/value menu. XD

    ---

We have Culver's here which is freaking amazing. A bit pricey, but really freaking awesome.

It's crazy expensive over here, even McD's. It's just cheaper to buy a dozen buns and packet of cheese grillers than to buy fast food.

On some things I have yeah, I enjoy the odd Starbucks but that's maybe once a month. Three at the most.
I enjoy grabbing a PG Tips tea at college, it's fairtrade I think though, all's good :D!

I like Starbucks, but I'm going to start making my own coffee.

My boyfriend and I are bad about grabbing a Chinese takeout box from the place three blocks from our house at 9 p.m. They're usually out of a lot of stuff so they charge you less and it's like six bucks. six bucks between two people is a pretty cheap dinner . . .

I don't like fast food. I don't like the grease, the smell or how it's prepared actually. I enjoy cooking my food and planning what I'm eating actually. I will eat fast food on occasion though. Like pizza.

I love pizza Happy face Especially from this authentic Italian restaurant in town...it's so delicious. But Dominos I will only order if I don't have enough for the restaurant. (Dominos is half the prize...) Or if I want wings though. That's about it.

It seems every time I get fast food, like McDonalds and Jack in the Box, I feel like crap afterwards. So I rather save up or not eat at all.

I have a like-hate relationship with fast food. It tastes good (sigh) and I'm impatient when hungry. It's just something you get when you absolutely have to. But I do agree that no food of true quality should ever be prepared that quickly.

HOWEVER, being from New England, I have to say I do run on Dunkin' Donuts and if we had more Sonics up here, I would be a frequent visitor there too. Oops. Facepalm

I'm really proud to say that I haven't eaten fast food in over six months. It's fatty and it's greasy and so bad for your body, so I try to stay away from it when I can. If I were to eat anything though, it'd be Subway, since I like to think it's the healthier option to say, Maccas (Maccas chips are so good, though).

I think the last time I had fast food was early August... and it was a Cantina Bowl from Taco Bell Lick
It's just way too stressful to look up the ingredient list for every single menu option in order to, well, order. Rolling Eyes
Not only that, informing the employees that I need something not cross-contaminated with gluten is an endeavor in itself. Many of them don't take it seriously because gluten free is seen as a diet choice or fad instead of a diet based on an allergy or intolerance. Disgust

It's just easier to cook at home.

This is kinda dredging it up from the deep, but Maccas isn't necessarily more unhealthy than Subway. A family friend went on this whole healthy eating craze and refused to eat half the options given at Subway. Apparently what they call cheese is very unhealthy and "you may as well be buying Maccas" - his words, not mine.

I'm very partial to Maccas caramel frappes. Those are so tasty. And their 30c soft serves aren't too bad on hotter days.

    @ sheepcat;
From seeing the grease they cook in Maccas to the fresher veggies they put together at Subway, just looking at the foods is enough to convince me that Subway is more healthy than Maccas. I don't doubt that their food does have unhealthy factors but I do think it's probably a hell of a lot healthier than Maccas. I mean, in Maccas, if you take away the pickle out of the cheeseburger it's considered confectionery. Also, idk if you remember the Subway ad where this guy used to be obese and all he ate was subway and he lost like 40kg?

There was also this doco called Super Size Me, where this guy was documented to eat Maccas for brekkie, lunch and dinner for 30 days. Before the experiment, he was in pretty dece shape and then when the experiment was over, it took him 14 months to lose the weight :s

Although I agree with the cheese thing. And I like the soft serves as well.

I don't remember that ad, but when my friend was doing it, he only got a certain type of bread, a certain type of meat and a few veggies - though because they're veggies they're healthy - and no cheese. My family and I were told many times that Subway was only a bit better than Maccas due to a whole list of facts he would then reel off, and the bread, meat and cheese wasn't exactly good for you.

    Oh wow, that's something.

You have to eat a six inch turkey sub with no cheese or dressing, plus exercise to lose weight like Jared did.

I'm not gunna lie: I love taco bell and pizza. I practically live off of those taco bell black bean burritos. I know they're gross and bad for you but I'm too impatient and cheap to get something else. 3 of those are less than $6 and an entire pizza is also around 6. Really doesn't help I live down the street from a taco bell.

I sincerely hope that the future is in fine dining and I'm sure that the more good restaurants there are, the better. I was especially pleased with this place recently https://www.gourmetfoodstore.com/caviar/tobiko-caviar-0767 where they really know how to serve great fresh caviar and their attention to customers and products deserves to be talked about.
