I prefer the Sims 2 to the Sims 3. Mainly because of all the Dom Howards and Matt Bellamys I have running around there. I honestly have about fifty of them, and they've all been paired off and married. OMGYES.

@ roadhouse blues., you can go on Mod the Sims, The Sims 2 Exchange, or a boatload of other websites like Liana Sims2, which has really pretty clothes and sims.

The ones on The Sims 2 website aren't that good, they're all Edward Cullens and Bella Swans, but Mod the Sims is amazing for hair meshes and stuff. They're usually really easy to download, but on MtS you have to have an extractor that can extract ZIP files. Then you put them in your My Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Downloads folder and they appear in your game, unless they've got a little blue icon with a body on, that looks sort of like the Body Shop logo. Then you double click, wait for the little box to appear and then click "install", and the sim should appear in your sim bin on the Create A Sim thread. Cute.

The Sims is my life, no kidding. tehe
I think The Sims 3 is the best so far, just because you can do so many things there that you really couldn't do in the other two games.
I'll admit, I did go back to TS2 after a while with TS3, but in the end I'd have to say that I prefer the third game. Cute

Random input: As a huge Sims nerd I was a bit hesitant going into TS3 because other Sims nerds said it wasn't as good as TS2, but...dear god I love TS3.

I finally got The Sims 3 for christmas. :)
I don't know if I like the interface and menus as much as TS2.
I just hope they belt out more expansion packs soon or it's gonna get boring.

I've pretty much ruined my Sims 2 with all the custom content. I'm planning on just uninstalling the games and buying the Sims 3. I'm already planning a group of people. Paranormal investigators: a punk/goth chick, an indie dude, an awesome black guy, a vintage fashionista, a ghost, and a hippie chick. Con

The last time I played Sims 2, I had downloaded a zombie mod that made the zombies capable of turning other sims into zombies. Belladonna Cove was swarming with them. lmfao

That sounds like a great group, btw. Paranormal investigators ftw. I wish that could be a real career track in Sims 3.

I tried Sims 3 but it didn't get on with my laptop, so I just stick to Sims 2. I am currently playing a fourth generation family.

Anyone have a good Sims 2 family idea? I keep getting a craving to play it but I'm scared I'll make a family, do their house up and then get bored. I need to make a family with a hook, like something interesting.

One of the most interesting families my sister and I ever made was the Lawson family. It started off with 2 guys and a girl, the girl was married to this guy but kept sleeping with his brother who was the other guy that lived with them. She started having her husbands brothers babies and her husband had no idea. They eventually divorced and she married the brother and ended up having like 3rd generations, it went on forever and never got boring. I haven't made a family like that in ages... Sad

Hey guys :3 this is super sim nerdy of me, but has anyone heard of The Legacy Challenge? You have to build a family 'from rags to riches' through 10 generations. It's pretty fun, and quite a challenge if you want something new to do.

I've tried it in the past before but messed up on a few of the rules, so I decided to start again with a story to go with it. There's loads of stories on the internet it's crazy, but if anyone's interested in reading mine I'll be posting it here. It's pretty easy to naviagate through the chapters from the side bar. :]

Anyone else tried it or feel like giving it a go?

WELL the girlfriend and the dad woohooed in the hot tub! In front of the mom! Shocked now, the two couples are divorced. The dad and the girlfriend live together O:

That sounds awesome! lmfao I think I may do that. Laughing

By the way, does anyone have any really good custom content sites for The Sims 2? I use Modthesims2.com a lot, but I was just wondering if there were any other great ones. Very Happy

I've also gone on lianasims, cool sims, thesimsresource and raonjena.

I am a Sims addict. I have The Sims 3, World Adventures and Ambitions. I used to play TS2, but got bored of it and have sold it and all my EP's now. But, yeah. TS3 is seriously addictive! Cute
