I prefer the Sims 2 to the Sims 3. Mainly because of all the Dom Howards and Matt Bellamys I have running around there. I honestly have about fifty of them, and they've all been paired off and married. .
@ roadhouse blues., you can go on Mod the Sims, The Sims 2 Exchange, or a boatload of other websites like Liana Sims2, which has really pretty clothes and sims.
The ones on The Sims 2 website aren't that good, they're all Edward Cullens and Bella Swans, but Mod the Sims is amazing for hair meshes and stuff. They're usually really easy to download, but on MtS you have to have an extractor that can extract ZIP files. Then you put them in your My Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Downloads folder and they appear in your game, unless they've got a little blue icon with a body on, that looks sort of like the Body Shop logo. Then you double click, wait for the little box to appear and then click "install", and the sim should appear in your sim bin on the Create A Sim thread. .
