When You and Mibba Met

I'd been writing My Chemical Romance on my Piczzo back when I was thirteen and because I didn't know there were other fan fiction writers (I didn't even know it was called that!) I kept it to myself. But one day, I came across INO.net and well, it linked me to Mibba.

I've been a member for a stupidly long time now and don't plan on leaving anytime soon!

- I didn't post for a year or two (maybe three) though so the site didn't seem like anything special at first. When I did start posting and reading the stories on here I realized why everyone liked it so much.

I'm a Quizilla refugee. In December of 07 I had received my first cell phone, it had internet and unlimited texting. I was stoked as an average 12 year old would be.
I remember I was googling along, looking at Brendon Urie pics and one of the pics led me to some story on 'Zilla, I was hooked instantly to fan-fiction. An even started writing my own in a journal.
About three months later, I was reading a story and in the authors note she was talking about Mibba. I thought nothing of it at that time.

When 'Zilla committed suicide, I was like noooooooo! It was confusing and weird and I was like "eff this"

And there was a light bulb and I was like "Mibba!"
So I ventured over here- joined, and Mibba and I have been happy ever since. :)

I remember one of my friends telling me about the site and I was just like, "That's cool." After I quit Quizilla I felt like FF.net wasn't as fulfilling, so I decided to check out Mibba. And it is still the best writing website I've ever been on.

I was about..12 or 13 when I found the site. There wasn't a specific reason, I just loved it. :x

I was looking at a list of fan fiction archives and clicked on every link except the fandom-specific ones. Mibba looked pretty neat to me, so I just had to sign up. That's about it.

When I first started reading fanfiction, it was on Quizilla. An author on Quizilla who's work I really enjoyed announced they were moving over to this site I'd never heard of: Mibba. I was curious and checked it out. I ended up joining for no particular reason, but I'm so glad that I did.

That had to have been years ago.

I joined because I can never find anything worth reading in Quizilla (I'm sure there is good stuff out there but, it's buried under piles of poorly-written and unfinished works). I used to like Livejournal but, just about every community I joined has been dead for years now. So, here I am!

I used to be a big user of Quizilla from a really young age, and then started using the forums shortly after they added them when I was like, twelve. When I was I think fourteen or fifteen, one of my really good Quizilla friends asked me if I'd heard of Mibba. I told her that I hadn't and that it sounded like the name of a disease. xD But I checked it out anyway, joined, but never really used it. Then not long after that I quit using the story function of Quizilla (which I rarely used anyway) because it was such a mess; and the flaming, rudeness, cliquey-ness, stupidity, and general awfulness of the Quizilla forums got so out of control that I couldn't take it any more, so at around age 16 I started using Mibba full-time and haven't even thought about Quizilla since. =D

I also no longer think that the word "Mibba" sounds like a disease lmao.

Well...

It was a cold and melancholic morning on March 14th, 2011. The day was young, but I was already weary. I was on a quest for a place where writing would be accepted, and not eaten by a foolhardy sites might "glitches." Then I found the wonderful world of Mibba, where people were kind and stories were kinder. I gave a triumphant shout and told my friend who had been searching for the exact same majestic place and together we registered.

I have not regretted it since.

I joined because I DESPERATELY wanted a place to share stories that were both fiction and fanfiction. I stayed because everyone here was amazing. The stories were phenomenal, and they weren't full of grammar issues and they were actually quality.

My friend recommended this story to me, and it was on Mibba (it was also an impossibly bad Frerard, but at the time I loved it), and I just sort of started using it.

I joined around October 2008 I think, and I stopped using it for a little while because I stopped writing, but I changed my username from Jane Doe to daisyfairy and I'm back, heh.

Well...

It was back in... oh, 8th grade? One of the stories I was reading at the time on Quizilla had a chapter on here because it was a smut chapter - I 'm pretty sure that's also the first smut I ever actually read - so I created an account because I wanted to read it, because... well I don't actually remember why I wanted to read it. Maybe it was because I just wanted to see if there was anything I was going to miss out on, other than smutty detail?

Anyway, so I created my account, read the chapter, and hardly ever got on till I got feed up with the Quizilla about six months later - also one of my favorite writers then (and now) moved here - and I've never regretted it since.

I used to be an avid Geek Stink Breath member. Then Dujo announced that all of the Green Day fanfics were going to be transferred over here and I didn't want to lose them so I migrated to Mibba as well. Plus, I was sadly losing interest in Green Day and started writing more.

I was on GSB like a whole lot before it became practically dormant and we had to migrate over here. It was a nice change.

First of all, I found Mibba when I was in the fifth grade. Mind you, that was very long ago. I was about 9 or 10 when I found projectfiction and Mibba since PF linked me to the said site. I was too lazy to make an account so I went back to Quizilla. It became worse and worse each passing month. When I see a 'Help! I'm kidnapped but I fell in love with my kidnappers!' story, I can't help but cringe and ask god why did I enter that site.

Mibba became an alternative and I thank the high beings up there for making Mibba. I've had my account since I was a freshman but I have been active only for almost seven months.

Well... I actually moved here after the whole Quizilla changing. I made an account on December 30, 2007... But never posted anything 'til Quizilla's layout changed. And I got to know, and familiarize myself with Mibba, and... it was kind of perfect. Wasn't as cluttered as Quizilla, which I liked very much, Dujo does a good job.

Now Mibba is my internet home.
