because my parents decided to be BORING when naming me, i'm Rebecca.
    however, I go by Lacey.
    Why?
Because it's my last name, I've only just realized that over in America it's a fairly common first name.
    so that's me
    C:

    P.S
the name butterfly is so awesome-gasmic that I may just steal it :tehe:

People used to just poke fun at my last name; they'd call me Hannah Banana and although it used to be cute, it got very, very annoying after the first dozen times.

I hate my name. I mean, nothing against it but it was soooo popular when I was born. Jessica. Ugh. In sixth grade, there were four Jessica's in my LA/SS class. I like not common names, like one I made up myself, I wanna name a kid with the name. Elixandre. Ee-likes-andra.

But I do like my last name which people mostly call me by. Danoff. I dunno, it's all footbally-ish kind of. Like a coach yelling at the player basically.... When I tell people that, they're always like, "That's why you like being called by your last name?" And, well, yeah. And I don't even like football. =P

People, for a while, called me emo instead of Emma. Well, actually, it was just Purdey, and she stopped.

My name's Beatrice, and you'd be surprised how many people can't spell it.
I also have a hellishly difficult to spell last name. Disgust

    My name's Alice.
My sister used to sing the song that starts off, "Alice, where are you going?"
And I've sometimes been referred to as Alice in Wonderland.
Some people pronounce it as Alise, which is kind of annoying.

My real first name is Zoe-Louise, which I despise intensely. :file: Especially when people used to call me Lou.

My middle name is Erin, and I've gone by that for years. I like it so much more.

    Zanny.
    "Zan-ee"
It rhymes with Fanny. I always got Fanny jokes.
And then some people pronounce it "Zain-ee", which is made me grow to hate that word.

"Fly" is an absolutely amazing nickname. :cheese:
I also love it when people are called Felicity, and they get named "Flick".

I prefer my middle name so much - Freya, and I really wish I could get people to call me by it - buy it's kinda too late now.
    Sad

My surname gets poked at a lot. It's "Bates" - which throws in the whole, "masturbates" shizz, which, does get pretty old after a while.

Brace yourselves. It's all right once you learn how to say it ...

My name is Fionnghúala-Máirghréad Saoirse Collins. It's Irish. I come from a huge family and we all have big Irish names. You say it like this: "fin+noo+la mare+raid sear+sha".

I don't get teased here in Ireland, although some people still can't say it, but when I go away I get a lot of strange looks and people going, "What were your parents thinking?" and I'm like, "I quite like it, actually ..."

    My name is Sport. Yeah.
Yes I like playing sports, please don't ask.

My middle name is Michel. People pronounce it as Michael, but it's Me-shell. Just like Michelle, just not final "le"

My last name is normal. xD

I secretly think my name should be smooshed together to be Sport-Michel, but my mom says no.

Dude, your name is amazing! :cheese:

Mine is Kathryn. Katie for short. No one's really ever made fun of it, seeing as there's not much to go on. Katie's a pretty common name, too. I have a few nicknames though. The best being Lettuce Leaf. :tehe:

My brothers used to make fun of me for that one. Does that count?

    My name is Aliya.
Most people tend to mispronounce it...or spell it.
They sometimes add an "h" and it's pronounced uh-lee-uh.

My name is Storm and everyone makes fun of me because I used to have a boyfriend named Rhane. Personally, I don't find any of it funny. He hurt me. Plus, my name is unique and I know it. I haven't met one damned person with my name.

I think you feel special if you have an uncommon name. It makes you unique and sets you apart from everybody else in the good sense. Better then Lauren, which is why I go by Lozza. Even my mum doesn't call me Lauren anymore.
