My first job was at Tim Hortans and it was maybe, my fourth day. My supervisor had asked me to start a new pot of coffee. I went up to whatever coffee pot, added the full amount of coffee into the filter and started it up. I went to cash some people through, and my supervisor yelled, "Jess!"
The coffee was overflowing out of the pot, all over the counters and floor. The coffee pot I had used was already half-filled.
I kinda wanted to die right there.

So, have you been mortified by anything that's happened to you while on the job? What happened?

I was carrying a cloth bucket to the sink room and I managed to spill water a good 10 metres around the store without noticing. I don't know how I didn't notice though because I somehow managed to wet my entire uniform from waist down in the process. It was horrible and embarressing as it was in front of co-workers, mangers and customers.

My first day of work I left the boiling water tap on. You know, the ones that give you instant boiling water. :tehe:

When I tripped flat on my arse lifting baskets. They fell everywhere and the 5" pile just toppled. >.<

I still laugh at my friend though, he slipped on an apple and got a black eye in produce. :lmfao

    Oh boy.
So on my first day i was practicing using the loud speaker. And I said "Anette to design, Anette to- Oh! I found her!" Cause she was walking towards me as i was saying it over the loud speaker to the whole store.
People don't let me forget it either.

On my first day working at Waffle House, I had to make coffee, and when I was pouring a cup for this guy, I accidentally spilled all the coffee in his lap 'cause I wasn't paying attention.

    Generally, no.
But I did once greet an employee who was in their normal clothes and asked if they needed help finding anything.
I've also broken two bottles of nail polish and once I mixed up some words and accidentally said 'cunt' over loud speaker, but fortunately no one caught on.

    Nothing too bad.

But this one guy that I was in no way interested in asked for my number, and I gave it to him just because I didn't want to tell him no in front of his friends.

Then this guy who was old enough to be my father acted jealous and basically hit on me when I told him that the guy I gave my number to wasn't my boyfriend.

    Really awkward. :shifty

I forgot that the first time I went to use the bathroom at work [they're electronically locked and you need the code to get in] I used the men's room. Fortunately, no one was in there or came in.

I just walked out after peeing and was like 'why the fuck is there a urinal in the women's--oh shit'.

I also once let a man into the woman's restroom! He looked girly and I didn't know until I saw him later. He was nice though. O_O

And yesterday I was bad talking this customer. He came up with a ripped Hallmark Valentines' Day card and asked if it was full price. So after I rang him up I was talking about how cheap he was and how his wife wasn't going to be impressed and I saw him. He didn't realize, but I hid until he left. X_X

Wow I did that too! But I, err, had a guy walk in as I was coming out. Awkward much. He was like, "What are you doing in here?" Yeah...I was all, "...aweh shit." -headdesk-

Probably when I was working at a boarding kennels and I was trying to get these two hyper Labradors back into their kennel, but they got out just as I had managed to shut the door. So they squeezed through the door and bashed it backwards, the door hitme in the face and I fell on my ass. =D

    That was quite humiliating ...

I was putting silverware tubs away on a really high shelf, (on a step ladder) and I fell on my boss. Lucklily, it was in the kitchen and no customers saw it. But they still laugh at me for it.
