Quizilla

  • I liked it better when Quizilla had story layouts and homepages and stuff...like 3 years ago? I was getting bored with Quizilla and my stories were becoming too graphic and someone kept on reporting them, so I decided to look for another website that was like Quizilla and had different ratings and stuff.
I still am finishing some of my stories on Quizilla though.

  • I was on Quizilla before Mibba...I like Mibba a lot better and its way funner, but I'm kind of Quizzo famous Shifty
So I still go on there quite a bit.
Plus I've found that people on Quizilla are nicer.

  • Strangely enough, I still enjoy quizilla; however, it was FAR better when you could use HTML to edit your stories, etc.

  • So . . . do you think we're going to get a new influx of users now that Quizilla is deleting everything not G-rated?

What the heck is up with that? I don't get what happened

  • ^ They've been supposed to doing that for a while now, since the "new" quizilla came. Something about Quizilla being taken over by MTV or Noggin or Nick or somehow affiliated with some kids network, so they started putting out word that no stories over G were allowed. I think at first it was just "No Lemons" - I remember that being a big deal when I was still there, and then it was nothing rated over G (which I think is silly). So I guess Quizilla has finally gotten around to actually making good on their promise.

Eh. Quizilla was never really intended for stories anyway, it kind of just transformed into that. It's kind of sad, because Quizilla did still have some redeeming qualities.

Quizilla stories are my guilty pleasure.

I don't get it either. My old stories are still up there, and they definitely aren't G-rated. Maybe they only deleted stories that were rated inappropriately? Either way, it's most likely because of the Nickelodeon connection, which most likely is the same reason for the "No Lemons" rule from a couple years back. I remember several (or more) users leaving because of that one.

I'd bet a million dollars (if I had it) in the next few weeks or months Mibba's user count will increase. I've noticed a lot of new users coming from Quizilla in the last month or so, and those few who weren't fed up with it earlier most likely will be now.

  • There's always been a no swearing and sex scenes rule there though. At least, that's what I remember. No one ever followed it. tehe

Before stories became common on Quizilla, there were no rules regarding what could and could not be written. The no sex or explicit content rule is only a couple of years old, it might have been placed in 2006 or 2007, 2006 being when Quizilla was bought from the original creator/owner. I know the rule only came after the first revamp.

    For real?

Wow. That's actually worse than the last time I was there, back in 2008.

  • I'm a Quizilla transfer as well... and proud to be so. I used to love Quizilla, be addicted to it, until I was getting trolled on my account by some... maybe eleven or twelve year olds, who couldn't spell correctly to save their lives. Seriously.... God.... I was a ranter on there, SleepwalkingAlligators was my username.

If you want to keep your sanity, I advice you not to become a member on Quizilla.
First of the spelling/grammar is TERRIFYING. Seriously, the newest/top rated and even the most popular stories have some form of text talk in it... not to mention lemons. O.O

And massive chain letters... IN THE QUIZ SECTION.
Yeah, miss my friends, but really, it wasn't worth having eleven-fourteen year olds with a vendetta making an angry rampage and a string of profanity towards your direction.

    Yep. The most popular...

Do they have low standards or something? Probably, but yet... there ARE good stories on there, people just toss them to the side when they find out it's not about Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, or Twilight.
    September 12th, 2010 at 09:12pm
  • ^ I have no idea what their standards are but it seems like the most unrealistic the situation (when it comes to band-fic especially, from my experiences), the better.

When I was on Quizilla there were only a handful of authors whose writing I actually enjoyed. Compare that to Mibba and there's like double that amount of writers whose stories I'm actually subscribed to on here.

  • I'm a Quizilla transfer.
I wasn't even on Quizilla for a year. I first thought Mibba was confusing, but a lot of people from Quizilla said that it was pretty good. So, I gave Mibba a chance.
I switched because I just love the personalization(sp?) you have on Mibba! It's so much more expressive and easy! And, I can post things from my iPod Touch.
I still use my Quizilla. But I don't post stories. Just a journal post here and there, a couple polls. I'd really just die from joy if Mibba let people hold polls!

I was thinking the same thing. That's what I miss most from the Quizilla Forums.
