I used Quizilla before but then I got tired of all of the stories and how I could find nothing that I liked; everything being about cliche vampire novels and Stockholm Syndromes that weren't even classified as just that. I googled writing sites and didn't really like Wattpad and scrolled down, thus finding Mibba. I've been here ever since and I don't plan on leaving soon :)

Yes, I transferred from Quizilla probably the same year after joining Quizilla in the middle of '09. The author of my favorite story there actually linked the explicit parts of their story here. I explored this site and joined knowing that it was better than - way better than - Quizilla. I especially loved that the titles didn't give away the story. No, I don't use Quizilla anymore but I do check it rarely.

I came here when Quizilla start to become a troll castle. Plus the writers there were really immature. Mibba's alot better, except it doesn't really have the friendly vibe in my opinion.

Oh, I used to go on Quizilla. I had an account there, actually. I never wrote in actual stories on there. I feel like what I wrote would not have been taken seriously there, since most of the readers only wished to read vampire stories, or very peculiar Twilight fanfiction. I read some of the things, back when I was in my (horrible) Twilight phase, but once I got rid of that I had nothing to do there. So I went to Wattpad, but then it got flooded with Twilight and One Direction fanfiction, and the only Harry Potter ones were of Draco/Hermione, and I'm not fond of them being together... Anyway, I went to Mibba and got rid of the other two, and just read on other tiny sites as well.

I was on Quizilla, and when they had the re-vamp I lost all my stories, which still breaks my heart, but now I am here and I love it. I came here because one of the writers I loved so much skipped over to Mibba, and I followed suite!

I used to be a Quizilla writer, I had thought it was one of the most frustrating things ever. How could titles that gave away entire plotlines and stories have so many readers and be considered as 'Popular'? Stories that have so much grammar mistakes and errors? As a matter of fact, I had gone back to check Quizilla just yesterday and saw how it had become - it looks pretty much dead and empty, or something like that. I don't know. It makes me wonder if people still go onto it. I just peeked at it for a second for nostalgia, then left.

I was on Quizilla for about six months, and then I stumbled upon this lovely place... And then I discovered Figment. So I abandoned Mibba for a while, but I wasn't getting too many reads on Figment so I came back! :)

I used to be a reader on Quizilla and I would stalk this author called SincerelyxKendra or kashixlover. I couldn't write for Quizilla because I didn't have a laptop but I wrote stories on my phone and used to publish them on my Mibba.

When I was in the seventh grade, a friend of mine used to look up poems and do quizzes. She showed me Quizilla and I instantly became addicted. I would read Harry Potter and My Chemical Romance stories. I would sneak into the computer lab at school and print off three copies of this story for my two best friends and myself. I began writing my own stories, got into the "Scene Kids" scene and really fell in love with story-telling.

Just before the re-vamp my favorite author Medicated Dreams, now Strange Bird moved to Mibba, and I followed after. I wanted to keep reading her story Love Like Murder.

And that's how I got here.

Quizilla is kind of for the emo and scene kids thing. Not trying to generalize but that's what it is; I grew out of that a while ago so I don't have much of an interest in it anymore.

I moved here from Quizilla when Quizilla started having issues and I wasn't able to post my writings there anymore. I've been posting my stories here for two years and mibba is the only site where I post all of my writings. I just adore this site.

I was on Quizilla for about a year or two after a friend showed it to me. I joined when I was 13 and started out just making Quizzes until I discovered the story section.

I remember making those quizzes where the person would answer questions about themselves and then get paired with a guy (HP for me) and get a short story based on their pairing with the classic 'you' and 'y/n' lmfao

Quizilla was connected to The-N for years and years, when I was obsessed with The-N which was around the time I was like 12/13. So naturally, I had an account. Surprisingly, I never posted any of my writing on there but I was pretty addicted to reading those "emo boy" stories and doing the quizzes. lmfao I ended up on Mibba because the author I followed religiously on Quizilla wasn't updating her stories anymore on there so I made a Mibba to keep up with her. So I guess technically I'm a Quizilla transfer, but all my writing was on the writing board in the forums on The-N, never on Quizilla.

The problem most first-time authors face is that they're great at writing but they're lousy at publishing. They don't understand how books are made or how they are sold. They don't realize the simple fact that writing their book is only 5% of the work involved in selling books. What are the most common misunderstandings? As a publisher, I've seen the gamut, from the false belief that buyers will show up automatically, to thinking that publicity is someone else's job. Now you can check out Best Books of 2022
