Blog Guidelines

Blog Content
01. The topic of your blog has to be something worthwhile and can’t be silly spam. When writing a blog, consider the content a "personal article". You need to put effort into your blogs.
02. Pointless or copied information (spam) is not allowed in blogs.
- Copy + Paste: Any blogs consisting of wholly copy + pasted material (material which you did not write) is considered spam. This includes chain letters/slogans, copy and pasted lyrics from your favorite band, copy and pasted IM/Chat conversations, etc. Blogs must have at least 100 words of original content.
- Repeating: Repeatedly posting the same blog is considered spamming, no matter how much time has passed and how many times it is reposted.
- Advertising: Advertising products or sharing links that you profit from is not allowed on Mibba.
- Length: Blogs must be a minimum of 100 words. Blogs shorter than this are deleted from the site.
03. Other forms of writing cannot be kept as blogs.
- Not-Blogs: stories, articles, poems, and collected data/research are not suitable blogs. There is a proper place for everything on Mibba; please be sure to place your work in the correct section of the site.
04. All blogs must have correct grammar and spelling. Chatspeak and decorations (**$My Blog<3) are not allowed and capitalization rules must be followed. This applies to both blog titles and blog content. Both Chicago style and AP style capitalization for stories are acceptable. This means...
- capitalize the first and last words of a title, all nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and subordinate conjunctions
- articles a, an, and the should be lowercase (unless the first or last word of the title), as well as the infinitive to (again, unless the first or last word of the title)
- prepositions smaller than four or five letters should also be lowercase

05. Swearing is prohibited in blog titles, including censored swear words. Swearing is allowed in the content of the blog at the author's discretion, although vulgarity is not encouraged. A list of words that aren't allowed in titles includes: B*tch, F*ck, *ss, D*ck, C*nt, P*ssy, Sh*t, and C*ck.
06. Offensive slurs, of any kind, are not allowed here on Mibba, with the exception of discussion of the words/their use or use within the content of a story or poem.
07. Public ridicule/bashing/insulting others is not allowed. This includes people on Mibba and people off-site.
Commenting
01. Do not insult or abuse other members:
02. Please be polite and courteous to other members when leaving comments on their blogs. Do not insult other users (either by calling them names, cursing at them, or being condescending), and do not insult their opinions. All discussions on blogs must remain respectful.
03. If a member is breaking the rules in their blogs, do not berate or correct them, simply report the blog to one of Mibba’s Blog Moderators and we will promptly handle it.
04. Do not spam a person’s blog with repetitive/hateful/off-topic comments. If you and a friend wish to have a conversation (or continue an off-topic conversation), do not use someone else’s blog as a chat-room.
Other Tips
- Members are allowed to post multiple blogs within a day as long as those blogs do not break any of the rules stated above.
- Please use a readable layout for your blog.
- While profanity is allowed in blogs, any profane language directed towards a person, celebrity, type of media such as a book, album or movie, etc. is considered bashing and is strictly forbidden.
