Mibba Magazine FAQs

The Mibba Magazine is a collaborative magazine made by and for Mibbians. Each month, a number of articles are posted pertaining to the writing world and the Mibba world. From articles on how to choose the perfect character name to reviews of Mibbians’ stories, we aim to cover everything that’s important to us Mibbians.

Who works on the Mibba Magazine?

Mibbians, of course! All members of the Mibba Magazine are Mibbians. We plan, organize, and write articles each month. You can find a list of all our members here.

What kind of articles do you publish?

Each Mibba Magazine article falls into one of six categories:

_{Mibba Life}

_{This encompasses all non-writing related pieces that covers Mibba life and the life of Mibbians. This includes things like the PAC (Personal AdviceColumn), weekly recipes, featured threads, Mibbians of the Week, and other events that affect Mibbians.}

_{From the Staff}

_{This category will include all articles that update Mibbians on what the Mibba Magazine is up to. It’ll include announcements about contests, new postings, and other important updates.}

_{The World Right Now}

_{Holidays, important world news, and other current events will be featured here. With this category, we aim to include news on as many different parts of the world and cultures as possible.}

_{Wide World of Writing}

_{This includes articles about the world of writing and literature. Here you’ll find things like book reviews and recommendations, info on national writing contests like NaNoWriMo and Script Frenzy, our book of the month club and much more.}

_{Tips, Tricks, and Prompts}

_{Need writing tips or a little motivational push? The ‘Tips, Tricks, and Prompts’ category will certainly help. This category will include things like writing tutorials, how-to's, writing prompts, and links to featured writing contests.}

_{Mibba Reccs, Reviews, and Writing}

_{The ‘Mibba Reccs, Reviews, and Writing’ is all about your writing (poems, stories, blogs, and articles) on Mibba. Here we’ll post story and poem reviews and recommendations. We’ll try to highlight the best of Mibba and give Mibbians a chance to get the word out on their favorite pieces.}

In addition to these articles, Mibbians can also find things like story/poem advertisements, Favorite Lines You’ve Ever Written, You Know You’re a Writer When…, featured profile layouts, writing prompts, and much more on the Mibba Magazine’s Tumblr, MM on Tumblr - so don’t forget to follow us!

When are articles published?

At least one new article from the Mibba Magazine will be posted a day. For monthly and weekly columns, the posting dates will be included at the end of the article, so you know when to look out for the next one.

On MM on Tumblr, multiple short posts are made daily.

In addition to Mibba, the Mibba Magazine can also be found on Tumblr at MMTumblr.

How can I become a member of the Mibba Magazine?

Though we’re not currently looking for new members, you can always send in your application and you’ll be added to our ‘wait list.’ Then next time we’re looking to add more members, we’ll send you a PM.

I don’t have the time to be a member of the Mibba Magazine, but what if I want to submit an article every once in a while?

If you have an article (or an article idea you’d like to work on) that fits into one of our categories and you’d like to send it in, just PM one of our planners with the following information, and they’ll let you know how to proceed from there:
