Rule Reminder: Poem Guidelines - Comments

Yes, prose-poetry is still a type of poetry, by no prose the rules mean just no plain stories posted AS poems. If that makes any sense. I'm sure if it was categorized correctly as prose then it wouldn't be removed, but if it's categorized as say a limerick and it's prose-looking then it may be removed.

  • My only question is the part where it says no prose--am I safe to assume that the form of poetry known as "prose poetry" is still allowed? Prose poetry is poetry that is written as prose form instead of in verse (so, without the line/stanza breaks of traditional poetry) but it is still considered poetry because it retains all other aspects of poetry. I don't often write it myself, but I hope a good prose poem wouldn't be removed simply because it doesn't look like traditional poetry at first glance.
