Mibba’s Freestyle Poetry Contest Winners

During the month of May, the Mibba Freestyle Poetry Contest was held. This contest, hosted by Mibba and the Mibba Magazine, asked contestants to submit any type of poem (ballad, epic, free verse, sonnet…)on any subject. At the end of the month, quite a few entries were received and after weeks of reading and judging, we have our winners.

Beautifully descriptive, Winter Chills by PurpleRainbows is our winner. PurpleRainbows’ poem describes falling asleep surrounded by love. With lines such as “Suddenly I felt the sensation of bliss, I finally fell from my oceanic abyss,” Winter Chills leaves you with a warm emotions and a sense of being loved.

In addition to Winter Chills, we also had two runner-ups. The first one is Cosmic by pava., and it follows the “lifecycle” of a star. The other runner-up is The School Battlefield by The_Rookiee, which speaks of the distress some kids can face in school.

For the month of June, Mibba and the Mibba Magazine are hosting a Haiku writing contest. There’s just a few days left before the end of this contest (on June 20th), so if you’re interested, be sure to head over to the thread and get more information.
