Remembering 'What Dreams May Come' - Comments

Wow okay. So I did one for the first night (after suffering some of my bad insomnia), and looking at my dreams while conscious makes them even more crazier. And that article spoke truths. When I started writing about one of my dreams that I had, I started to remember an older dream that had the same theme (taking care of children) that I had forgot a while ago. I didn't write it down though because it's kind of stuck in my memory now.July 19th, 2012 at 04:42pm

Oh, this is a really cool article because I have some crazy ass dreams, some that inspire me to write a story about them. I think that depending on the type of person someone is, their dreams may vary. Since I'm artistic, a lot of my dreams don't make sense or they're like, crazy. Sometimes my dreams are like, prophetic. Anyway, one time I had a dream about me and a handful of my peers were trying to escape a serial killer. It didn't make sense in the dream, but it inspired me to write a story on it (one that makes sense).
Okay, let me not rant and get super person. But I'm really going to try this dream journal thing, especially since all of my dreams lately have been extremely lucid where I can control almost everything in the dream. But I don't change much because there would be no fun in that ;)July 18th, 2012 at 03:07pm -
I've always thought about keeping a dream journal, but thought it would fall through like keeping a regular journal.:v I've always been bad at that. But those are some real interesting tips, and with the contest I am more motivated to trying it out. Never know, this might become something I continue doing.
Sometimes my dreams can be very vivid and I can remember most details, like one dream I had when I was in middle school, I guess because I told it to nearly everyone, lol.July 16th, 2012 at 04:47pm -
I have been keeping a dream journal since September 2009. I don't usually remember most of my dreams and end up recording about three a month most of the time.
Recently I have been having weird dreams and I know they are trying to tell me something, but I'm not exactly sure what that could be. They're always so off the wall, but they all focus on one this one person who I don't even talk to anymore and haven't been in contact with for like 10 years so I do find it a little odd.
Anyways, thanks for writing this. It's always nice to see someone's take on the idea of dreaming.July 15th, 2012 at 12:45pm -
Thank you for writing this - it was really interesting to read, and the tip of setting off an alarm in the middle of the night is something I might try. I already keep a dream journal, though I only write in it occasionally, but I often get that frustrating feeling where I only remember a small part of a dream and yet I know that so much more happened.July 15th, 2012 at 11:14am

I've been thinking about keeping a dream journal for a while now, but I'm not sure if I really need to. I remember my dreams from nearly every night. :)July 14th, 2012 at 11:54pm

This is a great article! I learned a little bit about dreams in a psychology class and this article helped reinforce all of that. The facts were all accurate, if I remember correctly, and your tips were great!July 14th, 2012 at 10:39pm
I do have one constructive comment. The times when I remember my dreams are actually when I do not go all the way into REM sleep. My most vivid dreams that I tend to remember occur when I have woken up and fall back to sleep for maybe ten or fifteen minutes and wake back up thinking hours have passed. It is like the movie inception where the time in the dream world is different. A few minutes in the real world could be hours in a dream.
