Mibba's "Favorite Story Ever!" Contest Winners

For the month of November, Mibba hosted the “Mibba’s Favorite Story Ever!” contest. This contest asked users to submit their favorite piece of pre-written work, and the contest was separated into three separate categories: poems, stories, and articles. As everyone knows, Mibbians are very talented, so the entries were nothing short of amazing. After much anticipation, the winners have finally been announced!

In the story category, there were five runners up!

The story category had two first place winners, both of which were incredible.

An Old Foe, written by Non Omnis Moriar, was chosen because it had most of the qualities the judges were looking for. Non Omnis Moriar did an excellent job with her imagery, which the judges believed added to the eerie feeling that the story possessed. Not only was this story written beautifully, it also had an interesting plot that kept the judges at the edge of their seats.

Helena's Violin, written by Daydreamer09, was a more dramatic piece, and was exceptionally well-done. Daydreamer09 did an excellent job conveying the emotion of the story, and the judges thought she got her point across very well.

The poems category has some amazing submissions, as well. The runner up for this category went to MrDraperyFalls with Passion at the Corner of Roanoke and Joyner.

The poem that one first place was What the Rain Does by AmorarEsDeVivir. This poem was chosen because AmorarEsDeVivir's brilliant word choice amazed our judges. She was creative in her piece, which was something the judges were looking for, and her emtion really made her poem stand out.

In the article category, we only got one submission, Genesis: The Progressive Rock and Pop Band by Foxtrot. The article is an excellent analysis of Genesis as a band.

No matter which of these pieces you choose to read, you will surely not be disappointed by some of Mibba’s best!
