Mibbian of the Week: AutisticAlice

AutisticAlice is an extremely sweet Mibbian who is very passionate about her writing! In this week's Mibbian of the Week, Kimi tells us a little bit more about herself and why she loves Mibba!

When did you join Mibba and how did you find the site?

Actually, I'm not sure I remember how I joined. I think I did join sometime in 2012 though. Lol I'm not good with dates

What is your favorite thing about Mibba?

The fact that I'm able to be myself here. I don't have to worry about being criticized or bullied.

What is your least favorite thing about Mibba?

Well, I'm not sure there is anything I hate, but it is hard to get noticed.

On Mibba, are you more of a reader or a writer?

I'm more of a writer. It's how I'm able to express myself.

What is your favorite thing about writing?

My favorite part of writing is being able to express myself in ways that pretty much surprise people. It's like, a whole new world to me where I'm allowed to be myself. Writing has even helped my parents and my psychiatrist understand me better. Aside from that, I love being able use my writing for stories as wll to inspire others around me as much as I can.

What is your least favorite thing about writing?

My least favorite thing would have to be having ADHD. It's always been a huge obstacle for me when I write stories since I never finish them. Also the fact that I know I could do so much better at it, yet my brain chooses not to help me at all. Also with being autistic, it's often challenging because I tend to use the same concept over and over. There are always times when I get writer's block so bad due to autism and ADHD that it becomes it's own disability. So for me, I would have to say the writer's block.

What is your favorite piece you have written?

I think by far, it would have to be my current story. It's called I'm Not a Child, Not Yet an Adult. The reason I love this story is because it goes more in depth with that of an autistic adult, rather than seeing so much about children with autism. Basically, it's showing people that autism doesn't go away as you get older and mature. It's still a work in progress, but I hope that I'll get it up soon.

Is there anything you would like to say to all the Mibbians out there?

No matter what, never give up on your goals. Never let anyone tell that you aren't good enough because you will be with practice and determination.

Special thanks to Fandango and everybody dies; for editing!
