The Mibbys: Movie Edition

Mibba's staff is now pleased to introduce The Mibbys!

The Mibbys is a new monthly award show that is hosted for Mibbians, by Mibbians, and involves everything a typical award show does, including nominations, voting, and a winner announcement. Instead of The Mibbys being focused on works by Mibbians or Mibbians themselves, it is dedicated to Mibbians’ favorite things like movies, bands, fandoms, and actors.

Each month, The Mibbys will have a theme that the awards will be focused around. These themes will range from things like music to movies to worldly affairs. The theme dictates what types of awards will be offered, and Mibbians are encouraged to nominate their favorite thing in each of the categories. The first edition of The Mibbys has a movie theme, and there are many different categories that users can put in their submissions for. Some examples include Favorite New Movie of 2012, Favorite Movie Quote, and Favorite Child Star.

In order to make The Mibbys run as smoothly as possible, the staff will first be taking nominations for each of the categories. After the nominations are made, a final vote will occur to pick the winners. Mibbians are encouraged to take part in the entire process, including making nominations and casting their final votes! The Mibbys will be taking nominations for each of the categories until June 5. At that time, a final vote will be put together and users can put in their votes for the winners. The final winners will be announced on June 25.
